Eldritch Horrors
Beyond the distant stars, in the dark void of the Astral Sea, lies the vast and unknowable. Beings beyond comprehension, that by all logic should not exist, yet persist.
Whatever they are is beyond the power of the gods, errors of creation, embodiments of madness and corruption.
We know little about these beings beyond that they exist, but even that is a question.
Many names have been used to describe them: Eldritch Gods, Cosmic Horrors, Elder Evils, True Aberrations. But the true extent of our knowledge lies only in names found in the whispers and scribbles of those who searched for answers no mortal mind can withstand.
Further exploration into the nature of these beings is undocumented and strictly forbidden. All known attempts have led to an all consuming madness. Though it is widely believed that the Elder Evils are embodiments of primal fear made manifest.
