Dispater - Archduke of Dis

Dispater is the Archdevil of Sloth and the Archduke of Dis, the second layer of the Nine Hells. He is a cautious and paranoid devil, rarely leaving his highly fortified iron palace within the city of Dis.   Dispater is extremely intelligent and calculating, he is a master strategist carefully plotting his way to the position as Archduke of Dis without ever taking any big risks. Dispater’s top priority is always his own safety, preferring to be patient rather than take any risks at all.   This paranoia has isolated him, forcing him to lock himself within his highly fortified palace for fear of his enemies acting against him. Dispater currently only has one person he trusts, his primary advisor and second in command, Duke Titivilus, who he trusts to represent himself in all matters outside of the palace.

Apperance

  Dispater is a masculine presenting humanoid, thin with grey, metallic skin, jet black eyes, small horns, a pointed tail and hoofed feet.   He isn’t incredibly handsome and compensates for this by dressing in exquisite clothing and jewellery, matching the attire of a noble court, showing off his incredible wealth. He is also known to wield a mace-like rod as a weapon and a walking stick.

Servants

  Serving as Dispaters primary advisor and second in command is the Duke Titivilus. While physically weak, Titivilus’s skills have gotten him into the famously distrusting Dispater’s inner circle, becoming his most trusted ally. Titivilus is a charming and calculating politician, rising up the ranks of the Hells through masterful manipulation and shrewd negotiation.   Titivilus is a short, genderless humanoid figure with pale grey skin, small horns, goat-like legs and a pair of bat-like wings.   While Dispater hides within his iron palace, Titivilus represents his master in all matters outside the palace walls, acting as Dispater’s voice. This gives Titivilus an immense amount of power and authority without the target of Archduke on his back.   While originally Titivilus planned to usurp his master, he soon realised that he benefited far more as the only one at Dispater’s side. Titivilus maintains his advantageous position by whispering in Dispater’s ear, fabricating countless plots against him, keeping Dispater scared and at the same time trusting only Titivilus.
