Cosmic Turtles

Cosmic Turtles, sometimes called Dragon Turtles, though they are not of draconic ancestry, are colossal creatures that roam the seas of the universe, specifically the oceans of Exorsia and the Elemental Plane of Water, but they can also be found roaming the Astral Sea.   Cosmic Turtles appear as gigantic, island sized turtles with massive impenetrable shells. They are usually incredibly intelligent and peaceful creatures, while they are happy to give advice to those that ask, they prefer to keep out of mortal affairs. That being said, Cosmic Turtles are known to be fiercely protective of those under their protection.   Cosmic Turtles are known to be able to retreat inside their shell, becoming almost untouchable. A cosmic turtle may go into hibernation for many hundreds of years, becoming confused for islands or small moons, and may awake to find settlements formed on its back.   Not much else is known about Cosmic Turtles as they are exceptionally rare and secretive creatures.   Language: Dragon Turtles speak a dialect of Celestial. Due to their size they almost exclusively communicate with smaller beings through telepathy.
