Abandoned Carnival

An old, decerpit carnival, surrounded by a rusty, iron-wrought fence.   When the Wanadead first stummbled upon this place, they were reluctent to explore further, finding only ruined structures, and the alien creatures that premiated the sector.   After they began their quest to find the shards of the Meteorite, they eventually were told that the Hunstmen had found a trace of the Meteorite's power in the carnival that had been their first introduction to Meteorite's Meadow.   Annoyed at the thought that they would have to return, the Wanadead set out and journeyed back to the carnival. There they slayed the Mind Flayer and retrieved the shard.

Purpose / Function

Although, on the surface, the intentions of the Musteev's Carnival seemed pure, they harboured a dark secret. Although, the number of children to go missing skyrocketed soon after the carnival's arrival, that was quickly overshadowed by the Meteorite crash.   However, up until recently, it seemed that the abandoned Carnival housed an even more sinister goal; the experimentation of a shard of the meteorite by a Mind Flayer.

Alterations

When the main tent was pitched in Remenos Park, the authorities had no idea that Darion Musteev was planning something else to be built inside the tent. Underneath his office, which was located in the back of the tent, Darion dug a hole and craved out an area fit to store his prizes, the bodies of the missing kids. He also dug further, and built a small ritual chamber to conduct nefarious deads.

Architecture

Built in Ramanos Park, the carnival was full of prize dens, attractions, and childish wonder. Yet, the main attraction was always the massive tent that stood tall in the center of the action.

History

Although travelling carnival's are a rare occurence in Kadesh, especially due to the lockdown that has been placed on the city, Musteev's Carnival somehow made it through the gates. Even though not many people remember the carnival that well, it is still occationally refered to as the last bit of light Meteorite's Meadow saw before being evacuated. However, the carnival was anything but bright.   Darion Musteev, the owner of the carnival, was not a good man. Having served 50 years in prison for the murder and kidnapping of 5 children, he got out on good behaviour and changed his name. Still not rid of the urge to kill, he created a perfect plan to beable to fulfill his lust and not get caught. As he traveled the Empire, he went from town to town, killing a few children and leaving before the authroities had time to ask questions. When he heard about a way to forge documents to get him into Kadesh, he couldn't help himself.   In Kadesh, he killed a lot, but it seemed that his ambition and lust for the kill was what enevitably caused him to lose his own life. He only planned to stay a week, but after all the fun he had had, he wanted more and stayed longer, just long enough to watch the Meteorite fall from the sky, and end his horrid existence.   After that, the carnival stood abandoned. However, a piece of the Meteorite did fall on its grounds. Soon, being found by a Mind Flayer, the creature took it, found Musteev altar, and began its research.
