Scientist: Biomaterials and Biochemistry

Role: As with all scientists, the B&B profession excels in exploration and party support. They're responsible for upgrading the party's equipment and bodies, analyzing xenofauna to provide strategic advantages, deploying and maintaining hydroponic systems to provide important resources to the party, and craft unique genetic upgrades for creating advanced materials and specialized "tools" for themselves and the party to use. This role would be most similar to a "Druid" class in a fantasy setting, providing both defensive and offensive party buffs and crafting machines and utilities for long-term survival, and providing additional support to the party with animal/plant/microbes such as domesticated wildlife, medicinal and psychoactive botanicals, or specialized fuel-producing bacteria cultures. They are one of the primary 'looter' roles.
