Medical Doctor: Virology and Microbiologist

Role: As with all doctors, the V&M profession excels in support, exploration, and defense. They're responsible for defending and healing the party from 'invisible' threats such as infection and disease, analyzing xenobiological life for strategic advantage, extracting powerful and rare compounds from biological sources, developing biological utilities and upgrades such as a microbial-filter that converts toxic gasses into breathable air, and developing gene-therapies for the growth of new biological materials, healing severe injuries, and bringing the dead back to life. This role is most similar to a "Cleric" role in a fantasy setting. They provide preventative protection in the form of antibodies and antitoxins, they develop bio upgrades, and they directly counter many dangerous debuffs and potentially lethal status-effects. This is one of the most exploration and advancement focused medical roles.
