Lake Chasm
Lake Chasm sits 500 ft. down from the top of the The Rift and was formed during The Sundering. During the sunder, the eastern half of The Rift settled between 400 and 500 ft. down, while the western end opened all the way into the Underworld. The lake eventually formed from run-off from the mountains to the south as they formed many great waterfalls that collected on the eastern slopes of The Rift. The waters of the lake are mixed with many foul materials and are unfit for life or commerce. At the western end of the lake, the Roarous Falls overflow and tumble to unfathomable depths, where steam always rises from the waters mixing with the fires below.
