Personal history
Vasan has been born and raised within the city, coming from a family of note within Gwardan. She eventually joined the ranks of the ruling Noldar of the city and then chosen to lead as Marquis. She has been in charge of Gwardan for just under a century and is seen as a capable leader. Most people of the city see her as just and forthright in her character and actions. Vasan is protective of her city and an experienced leader, willing to use her wisdom and will to command a room's attention.
She was willing to speak with Hope during a dinner during the Heroes of the Coast tournament. She was familiar with the Varondel family and the pieces produced by Andraste, showing her attention to the affairs and people of her city. She displayed pride for the accomplishments Hope had gathered, seeing her as a representative of the city of Gwardan. Vasan also was looking for mercenaries to bring back to her city as she had plans to crack down on criminal elements that had been growing in the past year. This is expected to be referencing the Myriad elements expanding within the city, under the lead of the Vig, whom the party may have indirectly helped. As Invictus FISH chose to pursue other jobs, Vasan trusted their recommendation and turned to the Coral Banner to complete this mission.
When warned regarding an attempt against her life, Vasan showed immediate concern and was attentive to the information Hope and the party shared. It seems that she took little risks, having a powerful escort alongside the Coral Banner. Still, this individuals were only able to delay the two Heralds that were targeting the Marquis' life. After being saved by the party, Vasan was incredibly thankful and sent a messenger to convey that she owed the party a favor. For now, Vasan has returned to the city of Gwardan to continue her mission of dealing with the criminals hiding in her city.
