Faint Night

Faint is a lean, muscled individual who has retained his fearsome athletic abilities despite his age. He often does move slowly and with a hunch, though this may just be a ruse to hide his true speed. He has white whiskers that stand out against his black fur, with a faint golden, glowing tattoo upon his forehead. He often wears various cloth wraps alongside his curator robes, grant a sense of humbleness to his appearance. He is often wearing or holding prayer beads and necklaces carved with symbols of Ioun.

Faint Night joined the Cobalt Soul from a young age, brought there by a fascination with learning. Faint quickly rose to the position of Archivist after his training as a monk was complete. For many years, he assisted in the maintenance of the Archive's library, developing a vast memory of the information kept within its shelves. When the position opened, Faint Night was recommended for Curator of the Port Damali archives and to be given stewardship over the library. During his time as Curator, Faint Night has cultivated an image of assistance and sharing for the Port Damali archives. Many academics, researchers, and other members of the Cobalt Soul often turn to the Port Damali archives for help due to this. Faint Night has based his decisions on the philosophy that the Cobalt Soul's stewardship over knowledge is based on the foundation of sharing and teaching others. However, despite his reputation of being kind and calm, there have been a few instances of individuals take this for advantage and quickly learning the gravity of their mistake.    The party, Invictus FISH, met with Faint Night during their trip to the Cobalt Soul Archives alongside Anora. Faint Night helped guide them through the library and find the topics they were looking to learn more about. On the party's continued visits to the Archives, Faint Night was often there to assist them and keep an eye on them. Following their meeting with the two Heralds, Feravel and Tempest, the party rushed over to the Archives. Faint Night helped them with their request due to the apparent urgency of the matter. The topics of the Calamity are more closely watched over, so Faint Night remained with the party during their research. For some tomes, Faint Night himself had to leave to acquire them, due to the restrictions on their access. While looking into the Arms of the Betrayers, Faint Night warned the party that this was a dangerous threat to be looking into. When ask on the methods of destroying such items, he offered a few possible theories based off his immediate recollection. Despite his keen eye, the Arista was able to steal a page from a tome when Faint was distracted, and the party was able to later return it without drawing any attention.
