Brio

Brio

Thinner, more lanky individual standing at 5'9'' with a bit of more lean muscle to their figure. Long black hair reaching just past his shoulders with tanned brown skin that was smooth and clear in complexion. Wore ordinary traveler's clothing and with a simple silver ring along with his instrument of choice, a lute. He seemed to be a youthful individual, maybe in his early to mid 20s, though with some possible room for variation due to his elven ancestry. Seemed to be a polite and amicable individual, especially charming when speaking with most folks, from guards to innkeepers. However, his smile helps hide his lies and half-truths, which can come as easily as breathing to him at times. Hidden even further behind his friendly mask is an air of ruthlessness, as understood by his swift removal of the original thief of Larender. It appears that he is part of a larger organization, seeking to help others out and are 'good guys' by his description. His friendly attitude seems to be legitimate enough that it extends in Invictus Fish' direction. Member of the Golden Grin

Physical Description

Special abilities

Brio has been shown to channel magic through his music, performing as a talented musician and arcane bard. Due to his profession, he seems to be especially skills in magics of illusion and enchantment, focusing on misdirecting or deceiving others. Still, his quick removal of the original thief of the flute suggests that Brio is at least somewhat capable in combat and killing as well. His arcane items have been recently bolstered by the lute passed along by Hope from the items retrieved from the Witch-King's vault.

Personal history

Brio has been a traveling bard working in the Golden Grin for some years, according to his experience and stories. When a compatriot had an important item, a flute, stolen form their person, Brio was sent to retrieve it. He tracked down the thief and made quick work of them. He asked around in Port Damali, but eventually discovered that Invictus FISH had the item. Knowing of Anora's history, he felt comfortable trusting the party with the item, even seeing it as a right of passage for them to become allies of the Golden Grin. He met with the party in an inn in Port Damali, keeping up the appearance of a traveling bard looking for coin and fame. In reality, he was a perceptive, hard to read operative of a secretive organization of individuals. He provided Anora an updated on an old mentor of hers before allowing the party to keep the flute. He provided a coded message that would hold the key to unlocking the flute. So far, it has been revealed to have illusory script, with another coded message beneath the illusion magic.    Brio traveled alongside Hope to Nicodranas for the Heroes of the Coast tournament. He helped teach her in music and channel magic through that art and passion. For him, the goal in the city of Nicodranas was to investigate criminal influences while seeing how the tournament went. He shared with the party the rumors he had heard regarding thieves looking to target the Uludan collection of arcane items, which may have been a ruse from the Heralds. Following the tournament, he attended the celebrations aboard the Gillless Guppy hosted by Invictus FISH, helping to provide music for the festivities. He is believed to be continuing his investigations of the Myriad in the  Menagerie Coast. While the party was traveling through the Empire, Brio helped facilitate messages back and forth between the split up party members, despite his tiredness.
