No one is sure who the first Evo was, but all agree World War II saw them become public for the first time.

March of 1942, in the fields of France, Corporal Owen Franklin, British Royal Army, rose out of his fighting hole to charge on a German position when a concealed machine gun opened fire on him and his fellows. In a panic, he tossed up his arms in front of his face and prepared to face a death that never came. Opening his eyes, he saw the bullets suspended in the air before him and felt a rush of power fill his hands before the growing pain in his fingertips forced him to shove his hands outwards to shake them out, resulting in a blast of kinetic energy that tore up the German position.   The following year, Andrew Tolmon, United States Navy Air Corps, had his plane shot to pieces by a Japanese fighter. As the cockpit erupted into flames, Andrew threw back his cockpit and jumped out. As he plunged to his doom, he noticed as the speed at which he fell slowed until it stopped entirely. Suspended over 1,000 feet in the air, the young man looked around him and saw the sea dotted with islands below him.   No one is sure who the first Evo was, but all agree World War II saw them become public for the first time. Warring governments collected and trained their abilities to use them in the global conflict, pitting them against each other either on the front lines or in covert missions. But, unknown to the world just yet, it was the United States with its immigrant population and mixing of genetics that allowed for a slightly faster mutation rate which lead to the births of these evolved people, or Evos as they were dubbed. This slight increased allowed for the Allies to field more Evos than the Axis, which allowed for the beaten down nations to turn the tide of the war.   In Museums across the world, the iconic painting of Captain Starlight, formerly known as Lieutenant Andrew Tolmon, lifting Hitler out of his bunker and into the sky is a recognized image all around the world.
