The Villan Era Begins

Where there is good, there is also evil. With the rise of dogooder Evos helping out governmental agencies, villainous Evos begin to come out of the woodwork.

The rise of the first “supervillain” was in 1971, when “Commander Ajax,” a former Canadian EA, robbed the First Canadian National Bank in Ottawa. Reports indicated Ajax was pushed to this position to provide for his family after being let go as an EA for injuries sustained in a battle against a USSR Agent at the end of the Vietnam war which Canada denied they took any part in, Evos or otherwise. Ajax melted the bank vault door, intending to take the money and leave, while not expecting any opposition considering his status. This turned out not to be the case as three uniformed officers who were inside the vault supervising an inspection were killed when Ajax took down the door.   The line being crossed, Ajax fought out the responding officers and was about to make a getaway when Titan, the unaging champion of America, arrived on scene and the two did battle. Titan easily defeated, and killed, Commander Ajax. Seven lives were lost during the engagement. While minor incidents involving Evos breaking the law had occurred before this date, because Commander Ajax was wearing his EA uniform, which government had started to stylize for news purposes, it is considered by most to be the first supervillain encounter by a EA.   From that day until the 1990’s, more and more costumed Evos started attacking normal society, using their gifts for a variety of purposes. Some of them wanted to get rich, others wanted to instill a little chaos so the world matched their own broken minds. Regardless the reasons, more and more often Governmental EA’s had to be dispatched to subdue and defeat these powered villains in nations all across the World.   The first true threat to the world came in 1987, when Mr. Perfect, an advanced mind Evo who had been fired from NASA for speaking out about the governments focus on war as opposed to scientific pursuits, used his gifts to take over all the nuclear arsenals around the world.   Launching all of the nuclear warheads across the world and detonating them in space, the world saw for the first time how close it could have come to complete annihilation. What if he targeted a city, a country, or the entire world?

“War makes us weak, it makes us reliant on a broken government to protect us and slows the progress of all of mankind. So I’ll take away your ability to wage war.” - Mr. Perfect, February 4, 1987.
