Fancy Cosplay Man Gets a Roomie

Summer 2021, Week 5

Tuesday evening

Phone Call

Damian Eli

Damian picked up his phone and dialed Zeke's number. It'd been bugging him for a few days now Zeke staying in a hotel when Damian had a spare bedroom for a friend. Sure his apartment was cluttered and he had parts laying around but what were friends for. And by spare room Damian meant his bedroom he'd take the couch until Zeke could go home. It was a pull out anyway. "Hey. Zeke. It's Damian. I have an offer."  

Zeke Marlowe

He answers as he finishes the last drag of his cigarette. "What's up, mon ami? It's been a hot minute."

Damian Eli

"Yeah it has. Listen. I know you're staying in a hotel I have. A place for you to stay I mean if you don't mind the mess or the fact i kinda come and go . And sometimes its through windows.. in a very fancy cosplay"  

Zeke Marlowe

He almost couldn't believe his ears. He's offering a place to stay? Bless him. "Sure, I could definitely use a change of scenery. I just gotta ask, though, is your place non-smoking? I just don't wanna get you in trouble, y'know?"  

Damian Eli

"I'm.. not getting my deposit back on this place considering I've sound proofed it and installed bullet proof windows. So you're good. Smoke away.."  

Zeke Marlowe

"Nice. And.. Thank you." He coughs, partially from the smoke in his lungs and partially from his bruised ribs. "Though I can.. try to lay off it if you'd like."  

Damian Eli

"I mean. As long as it's not in the living room.. kts kinda my workshop and there's a lot of flammable shit" Damian quickly rattled off his adress. "Stop by whenever and stay as long as you need"  

Zeke Marlowe

"I'll, um, get my stuff ready and check out. Thanks.. again." There was almost a trembling weight to his last words before hanging up the phone.
