Summer 2021, Week 4, Wednesday morning

Storyteller

The MMA gym was scattered, most people were working on a Wednesday morning, though there were still a few dedicated fighters trying their best to stay fit and well trained enough to take on most fights they can get. The receptionist lazily tapped her pencil onto the table as a young man entered.  

Aloysius ‘Aloy’ Fumi

Aloy reached into his wallet as he walked in. He used to be a regular here, but he had stopped for a while. Man it feels like it's been forever jeez.   He pulled some cash out to pay for a membership again. Knowing that he needs to learn new ways to fight, he had gotten rusty. He smiled at the familliar face as she took the money and did all of the work. The smell of sweat filling his nose as music filled the room.  

Storyteller

"Hey Aloy is that you? Since when did you grow up. You still look too young to have that old man name your parents cursed you with." A thick Taiwanese accent curled out into the air, as aloy turned around to see a middle aged man with his hands wrapped and a pair of short boxing shorts on. Perfectly made for throwing shins and elbows. There was an energetic fervour to the mans voice as he stance shifted quickly.

"Chia, You're looking just as worn down as you were when I left. I decided I could have more to learn. Especially looking at the streets now with all these protests going on, they could turn into riots at any second, so being able to hold my own might be uh helpful and stuff.  

Storyteller

"You gonna finally man up and learn some Muay Thai from me huh? Start throwing elbows and more kicks, you're usually so stuck with your fists c'mon." Chia threw an elbow jokingly before he pulled Aloy over. The young teen nodding as the training begun. Aloy spend the entire day getting the living shit kicked out of him. then angrily holding back as he attempted to copy the moves. He had caught onto the proper form. Though he still had much more to learn.
