Minotaurs

Minotaurs are a large race of bull-like humanoids who once ruled the continent in the Time of the Bronze Empires, before the Age of Heroes and the arrival of Elvenkind. Despite having built several of the architectural marvels of the continent, Minotaur civilization has declined over the last few thousand years with the spread of the Thymos Plague, which mutates the diseased into unreasonable, monstrous creatures with a near uncontrollable bloodlust. Now, what few true Minotaurs remain have fortified their underground cities of Klunth and Great Cryn and hide from the outside world. The last cities of Minotaurs are tentatively under the control of the Empire, but the extent of this relationship is generally trading exotic metals in exchange for the expertise of surface world healers.
