A troubled man with a dark history. Sahlrek grew up in numerous death cults worshipping the "old" God of the Dead Myrkul. After finally cutting ties with them he found himself having nightmares of the dead and all those he had slain- Vividly picturing the speechless bodies. Sahlrek wandered the lands, surviving anyway he could until finding himself in a church. He thought this church would immediately remove him, but instead they took him in as an acolyte of the grave; imparting knowledge of that the dying must be shown the way to the after and the lingering spirits of the dead must be guided to Kelimvors judgement. Sahlrek now worshipping the new god of the dead Kelimvor, moved from town to town, city to city helping all those who are sick to pass and be judged. He often found himself in battlefields during resting periods to gather the fallen. From this he was forcibly conscripted into Draxus' army for reasons unknown to him.
After escaping with Fump, Dench, Pardus, and Mavia (To form The Hunted). Sahlrek encountered a number of situations in which his faith has been tested, his god wont answer and his troubling nightmares have returned. But Sahlrek now has to deal with a mysterious visitor in his head and the new dangers of Evermore...
