Montag || The Chaos Order

Name: Montag Age: 50s Appearance: Human male. Smaller frame but muscled, the body of an old day laborer with rough skin. Unkempt beard, with burn scars on face and hands. He wears a long leather trench coat and a wide brimmed hat. His clothing is sewn with multiple pockets and pouches and he carries a large backpack filled with gadgets and inventions. He wears tinted welding goggles.   Background: Montag has lived most of his life in the capital of Evermore. A wunderkind of sorts, he was raised by librarian parents who had high hopes for their child. While perusing an Ancient tome on the nine hells, Montag soon became obsessed with demonology and the occult. He was most interested in Hell fire and its ability to consume any and all souls condemned to suffer. He lived as a bomb maker and arsonist for the arsonist, striving to recreate the flames, until he met Ariadne, who tempered his rage and violence.   He became a man of the cloth, tinkering away in a cloister of a local church, until the death of his wife. Angered by his loss, he discovered she had left him a small wolf cub to care for. His heart softened and he loved the pup as his only family. That is when the rain of fire came.   The capital burned around him, and airships dotted the sky. He ran home only to find his dog murdered by Yesharians, who had been ransacking his meager possessions. He severely injured one of the Yesharians, but was left surrounded by the ashes of all he loved. That day, he made a vow...to send the wicked to hell to feel the flames, starting with the Yesharians.   Some men want to watch the world burn. Others, like Montag, want to help make it happen.
