C2 Session 9

They all look around at the destruction of [[Razni]]’s powerful spell

[[Koin]] heals [[Henry]] and [[Xodon]], and they begin formulating

Looking around, the environment is pretty barren except for food and stuff scattered around

Xodon remembers Razni speaking a command word to ignite his sword: igna

He picks up the sword and speaks the word, and the pommel flames up a little bit, but die down

Henry tries it, but the same result

Koin tries it, and envisions the blade and the word much more in depth than the other two, and he can sense the personal connection needed to wield such a sword, and the blade flames up in entirety for a full second before dying out

Henry casts identify on the bracers and sword

They are defensive bracers, and the flametongue longsword

The sword goes to Koin and the bracers go to Henry

Xodon cuts off the heads of Razni and Raska to bring to [[Tek]] and [[Vaz]]

They all begin moving through the city to return to the catacombs

As they near the edge of the city, the flametongue sword drops and makes a loud clatter

Guards hear the noise and rush over but not before they make it into the catacombs

Koin and Xodon notice thin wire lines connecting the walls

Similar to the flint trap Xodon invented in the rivendale tower

They travel back to the pyramid after realizing the potential of a secret tunnel on the blood elevator

They get there and Xodon and Koin use their own blood to make the elevator travel downwards, revealing the secret tunnel

They walk for an hour and reach the end, where there is a stone like substance on the wall

Henry conceals the ruby and Koin pushes on the substance, revealing fake stone

They exit out of the tunnel and into an open cell, and into the city

The city is bustling and up towards the treasury are Vaz and Tek arguing

The common folk are with Vaz and the higher ups are with Tek

As they walk through the crowd, the common folk begin recognizing them and clapping, realizing that they have slain Razni

The elites are displeased

Xodon pulls out the head of Razni, and Tek looks angrily at Koin, and Vaz looks at them all

Vaz congratulates them, and Tek looks begrudgingly at them

Vaz says they should celebrate, and he guides them all away from the crowd while the elites and Tek shake their heads in disapproval

Henry informs Vaz of the secret tunnel, and he sends a couple of guards to get more oil for to put in the tunnel

Vaz describes how the explosion of the oil would work, and as he does Xodon remembers the Rivendale tower

Xodon informs Vaz of the drill making its way towards the snake city, and he immediately panics and rushes off

As they are chatting about a course of action, they notice a commotion a few blocks away

Vaz is being held down and surrounded by yuan ti, with Tek walking around them saying something in an unknown language

They immediately begin sprinting towards them, and Xodon shoots an arrow in an attempt to interrupt whatever is going on

The arrow flies and as Tek makes a harsh motion towards Vaz, the arrow crashes down in front of him

Tek looks at him and says that Xodon is their betrayer and they tell lies and try to invade them and that they should not listen to such blasphemy

They all rush towards the crowd, and Tek turns back to Vaz and his eyes are glowing

Xodon notices that Tek has Vaz in a trance, and is speaking to the crowd

He raises his scimitar in the air and as he swings down to kill Vaz, one of Xodon’s arrows strikes him in the chest

Tek turns to Xodon and his eyes glow more intense, and Xodon feels the slight bit of an effect before it wears off

They all continue to sprint towards the scene as Tek raises his scimitar again, speaking softer

The crowd begin sprinting upwards to the point 300 feet above Vaz and Tek, and Tek swings his sword down, but a snake on Vaz’s head catches it

Vaz gets up and his eyes flash red, and his snakes begin emerging one by one, wrapping around Tek

His muscles begin turning in different directions, and Tek looks up at the group before disappearing

Vaz yells at the yuan ti rushing towards them, but they are gone and in the tunnels before they see the result

Xodon takes his endless water jug and blasts them out of the tunnel, disabling traps on the way

They get out and it is late at night

They stealthily make their way towards the Chorus Perch, and as they draw near they can see that it is filled with people as usual

Koin crawls up to the second floor window and looks in, seeing [[Rafwar]] in regular clothes writing at his desk

Rafwar comes to the window and lets them in, saying to be fast

Xodon makes it in sneakily, along with Koin, and Henry struggles

A guard sees Henry struggling and they rush towards them

Henry climbs in and the guard questions Rafwar, but Rafwar persuades them and they leave

Henry hands him the ruby and lets Rafwar examine it

Then they give the letter addressed to [[Dowaqu]]

He takes it in and struggles to process it

They then explain killing Razni and Raska, as well as the drill and the war and the oiled up tunnels

They ask him about the prophecy

He says that the primordial prophecy was made by an oracle, Queen [[Farya]]. The first mural: an ocean on fire, the second: a lightning storm, the third: the sun completely blacked out, and the fourth: the moon in a blinding light

They reiterate the oil situation, and Rafwar realizes that the first step of the prophecy is becoming true, slowly but surely

Rafwar says that it may be possible to stop the prophecy, but the only way to do it is to stop the drill

He says that they can rest while he retrieves some food

They wake up in the morning and rafwar says he scouted the city last night and found the drill

He points to a spot on a map, and it is directly on top of the black suns city

Says there are seven patrols of guards at the drill, and one of the guards is one of the chiefs working directly with [[Einhor]]

The drill looks almost set up, and they are prepping to begin drilling the following day

The tip of the drill is an unknown type of special metal, and the rest is steel

He says the chief’s camp is controlled by two other patrols, and he has arranged for all three of them to be dropped in from above, and they are being given some items to help

He gives Koin dust of sneezing and choking

He gives Xodon an eversmoking bottle

He gives Henry the most important item, a scroll case to make sure they get in and out efficiently. It was taken from a dead dragolian.

It is a transmutation spell, and after retrieving some ink and deciphering the spell, he learns that it is the Haste spell

The plan is to get dropped in, drop the dust on them, drop the smoke on them, and cast haste on Koin so he can beat the drill up

Rafwar will go to the Heirloom Order and flood it, forcing the yuan ti out and draining the oil from the tunnels

They walk out into the street and see three familiar faces

Polo, the best ace in the games

Ivan, the best beakbreaker in the games

Irlan, the best wingman in the games

They each pick one person up and fly into the air

Henry casts haste on Koin

Ivan prompts Xodon to drop the smoke, and he does so

Irlan drops off Koin in the smoke, and immediately throws his dust of sneezing and choking, then dashing away very swiftly

Everyone besides the chief begins sneezing and choking vigorously

Henry throws a massive fireball down at the tent of smoke

Xodon drops down and immediately shifts, seeing all of the corpses of the goblins through the smoke

He hears a voice and sees the chief grabbing his shield, saying “you want a battle huh?”

Xodon rushes forward and slashes at him twice, also applying a deep wound

The first strike bloodies the chief, the second strike putting him near death 

The chief is angered, and tries to slash him but then feigns into a shield bash, knocking Xodon prone

He then attacks and sweeps Xodon as he’s getting up

Koin rushes into the drill and finds 12 goblins

He takes out his sword and kills a few, then punches a couple more and kills them

The inside of the drill catches fire as Koin slashes the goblins and they catch on fire

Henry watches in amazement from above

 A guard walks out, but Henry casts an illusion spell on him, making him think that everything is okay, which he then immediately reports back to his tent

Xodon gets up and attacks the chief again through the smoke, injuring him even further

The chief readies for an attack before his blood vessels explode and blood pours out of his eyes as he dies

Xodon grabs the letter he needed to grab, at which point Ivan swoops down and picks him up, flying him away along with Polo carrying Henry

Koin kills the rest of the goblins and begins attacking the drill core, attacking it with everything he has

He slams a powerful shockwave into the core, decimating it and shattering the drill frame

The drill begins exploding, and through the flying debris, Irlan swoops down and grabs Koin, flying to the [[Heirloom Order]] with everyone else

Rafwar thanks them as they land, and they fly off

He says the catacombs have been flooding and everything has been taken care of, except for the grand sage

They walk into the grand sage’s room, and at the desk is a large eagle-like bird writing at a desk

He acts normal and asks for the note when they say he said he was ill

Suddenly, his wing drops and he turns into a sludge and says “I told you I’d be seeing you soon darling.”

Henry equips himself with magical armor

[[The ooze]] pulses a bit, and Xodon is stunned

Koin attempts to compel it into a duel, but fails

Henry casts a chromatic orb, hitting the ooze

The ooze uses its pseudopod on Henry, and Henry’s head hurts a lot

Koin ignites his sword and slashes at it, but misses

Henry tries to hit it with another orb, but misses

The ooze uses its pseudopod on Xodon, causing the equivalent of a terrible migraine

Henry begins bleeding from his ears, collapsing on the ground

Xodon continues to be stunned

Henry manages to hit it with a fire orb, shriveling it a bit before it moves into a crack in the wall, telling Henry that it will see him again

They read the letter Xodon got, which tells them to attack and move the drill, taking no prisoners

From what they know and saw, the ooze kills the person, digests their corpse, steals their memories, and can then take the form of that person

It is hyper-intelligent and has multiple arms separate from each other
