C2 Session 36

The keyshards float into the sky, attracting to one another in harmonious beauty circling in the sky

Past the blinding light of the shards, Daemon’s group sits on the platinum peaks

The shards combine, and a singular multicolored gem rises higher and higher out of sight, a bright light emerging once more, and a new energy shining down on them

The sky begins shaking furiously, and the weight of it falls down on them all

The apocalypse has begun, whether they believe it or not

Smoke pulls out his invulnerability potion and shoves it into Adrezill’s mouth, telling him he is unbreakable

Adrezill swallows it and feels empowered, as Smoke casts a large field of darkness

Daemon rises up and casts a spell, and all of the members eyes glow white then disappear

Smoke and Xodon detect that they are zipping through the are incredibly fast, but they can only hear them

Adrezill prepares a spell for when the get close enough

Xdri is the first to emerge, immediately casting a set of magical armor around himself

He comes to a quick halt about 300 feet away, summoning a black ball above himself, and Xodon’s is weighed down, the ground cracking beneath him

Reia appears at the bottom of the castle, tendrils oozing out and grasping the building, and symbiote-like creatures begin attaching to citizens and controlling them, and they begin rapidly climbing up the building towards the group

Steve looks at them all, and he jumps off the balcony summoning fiery rings and slicing at the symbiotes, angering Reia

The creatures higher up on the building fall down on him, but he remains calm and composed, intending to hold this line to keep everyone safe

On the horizon, Rafwar leads the charge of the Fleet of the Rising Suns to the shore, apparating in the air above them, throwing a black fiery fist at the air

Paragon catches the fist, exposing his location

Dara also appears behind them, her eyes filled with a beautiful twilight, and the energy surrounds them all, empowering them

Paragon, angry at Rafwar’s punch, casts a shocking grasp onto Rafwar’s hand and up into his body, but Rafwar’s arm disappears into nothing and apparates around them both, entirely nullifying the effect of the spell

Vale uses Zoroc’s former crossbow to attempt a shot at one of them, but it simply bounces off of their aura

Olga crashes through the roof landing in the middle of them all, causing chunks of rubble to fall down on top of them, but they all evade

Olga wields his soul sword and looks at them, menacingly

Xodon takes aim at Xdri with his shortbow, and sends an arrow flying directly at him

Xdri looks confused watching the arrow fly, then looks away just in time to get clocked with it

Zoroc dispels the gravity field around Xodon, which helps him a great deal. He then applies a curse to Olga, who looks confused at first but then ignores it

Daemon’s eyes continue to glow white, and he continues to move extremely fast

Adrezill identifies it as experimental, making himself very light and then moving that weight through space at an incredible speed, matching or even passing that of light itself

Very briefly Daemon appears behind Olga and whispers him something that gets him very fired up

“I wish i could stay to play with you all, but i have things to attend to,” he says, before zapping off somewhere else

Adrezill’s readied lightning bolt shoots of at Olga, zapping him

It doesn't seem to affect him at first, but then it turns from a spell into actual real lightning, which affects him much more severely

Adrezill uses his staff of power to cast a ray of enfeeblement before leaping backwards a bit

Reia’s tendrils begin coming out of her head, attaching to some of the creatures massively empowering it. For every ten there is one of the buffed up creatures

Steve notices that he is beginning to be overwhelmed and retreats to the first floor

He sends more dragonborn down to fight, and leaps up to Smoke to inform him, who then follows Steve back down to the ground and begin helping with the fight

Rafwar conjures a sword seemingly out of thin air, but is actually purely out of the fabric of reality, aiming at Paragon and empowering his blade with a banishing smite

He lunges at Paragon, and the blade plunges into his chest unexpectedly

Black lightning shoots out of Rafwar’s hand again, and Paragon screams in anger before disappearing

Rafwar looks at all of them “did you really think you were the only ones who got stronger?”

Dara then raises her staff, blinks, and sends a twilight beam hurdling down at Reia

As the beam crashes down, she calls out: “WHITEFANG.” a ship horn echoes through the sky, and whitefang and a ship crashes onto land, and begins fighting the creatures

Whitefang calls out Waydranes name, who also appears through the portal, which then closes

Xdri is angered at this spectacle, and attempts to cast something at him, he disappears, but Waydrane holds his hands out

Xdri reapparates, and his movement is slightly reversed, as Waydranes small dunamancy spell ends

Vale aims her crossbow at Reia and fires an acid bolt at her, which slightly angers her

Olga, extremely angry about the inflictions placed upon him, and makes the ground beneath Zoroc, but it is very weak

He marches along it and attempts a cleave attack on him, but completely misses

The twins on Waydrane’s ship fly off and go straight for Reia, who tries to ignore it, but sends a chunk of the creatures at the newly apparated ships

Xodon begins powering himself up while a majority of the enemies remain far away

As he does this, Olga shrugs off the ray of enfeeblement

Zoroc throws his spear at Olga and flies up 10 feet in the air to be better positioned, and the spear slightly affects him

The keyshards surge again, and they all see a bright vision of a rift cracking in the sky, and they see a scene

Four beings chained and sealed in the rift, the chains beginning to fade, the four beings moving and marching towards the rift

A sudden gust of wind blows through, lightning striking, the rest of the world outside the city disappearing through the storm

A massive giant-like figure steps down from the sky, Adrezill knows instinctually who this is, the prince of air

A giant rock fist breaks through the platinum peaks, crushing them, the earth prince

From the sea a large hydra, the water prince

And from conjured flames, the prince of fire

Daemon finally apparates high in the sky, claiming victory

Adrezill’s mind is flooded looking upon the four sibling princes of the planes, who have not come to fight them, but each other

They begin dueling, their attacks ripping through the earth, sky, the whole continent is their battlefield

Some disappear into the chaotic storm, but the sound of their battle remains

The ooze creatures frenzy into a rage and resume their pillage of the city

All of them try to battle, trading blows and spells with enemies, all background noise compared to the titans attacks

Many little tears in the fabric of reality open, and out of one returns Paragon, coughing up a slight amount of blood, his wound beginning to close

Daemon clasps hands with Paragon, inspiring him, then Paragon appears next to Olga and traps Adrezill in a force cage

Smoke downs a speed potion, then dashes incredibly fast to Reia: “I’m tired of your bullshit,” and raises his clouded arm, which combats the plane it is in, forming a hollowed bubble around her, severing her connection to everything else

The ooze melts off every creature, leaving the corpses on the ground

The dark avengers and Smoke stand against her, the mage hasting him, the assassin readying counterattacks, and in one slash, the dark avenger slices her head off, which she of course returns but in shock

She tries to overtake him, but as the ooze wraps around his armor, his sword glows purple and she turns into complete ash

The events play out in a short instant for everyone else, but it cannot silence the overwhelming blows of the princes clashes

The twins look about at the ashes and bodies, and initiate damage control to save what remains of the burning buildings, and Waydrane’s flying ship begins moving to fight

Adrezill with the help of Zoroc escapes the force cage and zaps Paragon and Olga with mini lightning bolts

He then notices the small portals floating in the sky, and through them are the princes fighting just off of the coast of Dragol, where Onye Aloura is protected from the rubble by a safety shield, and at the top of the castle is a wizard who is seemingly solely casting or helping cast it

Adrezill amplifies his voice, shouting at all of the princes to stop fighting, which for a moment they do

The other two princes go through a portal to Dragol and all four of them surround adrezill, with intent to kill

Whitefang storms up to them, shoving Pragon aside and walking up to meet Olga at eye level. The clash, ripping into each other, the ground beneath beginning to collapse

Steve flies up, observes the ruined Fio, and he comes back down angrily staring at Paragon, casting an 8th level disintegration spell at him

He barely manages to shake some of it off, but the attack still leaves a hole in the center of his chest

Rafwar moves towards Paragon with such a severely serious motion

Dara sees this and begins chanting, and stars form around them, guardians healing them and Rafwar, casting Power word heal on Rafwar, ridding him of any ailment

He walks up to Paragon, on his knees, Rafwar looks back at them, who genuinely smiles for the first time in a long time

He looks back at Paragon before turning around and walking away

Paragon laughs as he releases his magic, sticking a blade blade into Rafwar’s back, ripping his heart out and putting it into himself, healing

Rafwar smiles at them all before falling off the side of the building, disintegrating from the hollow barrier

Paragon’s head and body begins shifting and tearing, hearts thumping, he flies into the air, ripping at himself, an internal battle between mind and body

Xodon sees his blade sparkle, and a familiar calm voice speaks to him: “do it, you’ve always had it in you.” Poco’s hand rests on his shoulder, all of the silver masks behind him, going into the blade of memories, telling him to do it

Xodon holds back tears, screaming as loud as he can: “LEG POINT, ARM POINT, IM GONNA END IT NOWWWW!!”

He leaps off of the air itself, reaching Paragon in an instant, expanding shit-ass the blade of memories into its fully-fledged radiant form

With such little resistance, the blade pierces his skin, and he hears Henry’s thoughts

Suddenly time feels like it is in his favor, and he unleashes the most powerful attack he can

As Xodon plunges the blade into his chest, he is attacking with peace, not hatred

The blade moves so fast and so seamlessly through him that a wound can’t even be seen

Paragon falls and crashes to the ground, Xodon falls and lands gracefully, and the blade launches and falls into Paragon’s body and into the hollow bubble, which fades

Out of the bubble, Henry emerges, holding the blade of memories, and all of the silver masks revived with him

They all look up for the first time in a while, and Dara has channeled herself into infinite stars, which begin falling and reviving all of the corpses, after which she collapses of exhaustion

After everyone has reappeared and realized the situation, they begin hopping through the portals to help fight the princes and protect everyone

It genuinely feels as if the material plane has protection

Adrezill is still invulnerable, but is getting thrown around

They speak to him in his mind, asking him if he knows who he is and what he is here to do

An impulsive thought spawns in his brain from deep inside him, a primal urge to destroy

His vision goes dark and he sees the four princes, all made with a curse to fight each other until their death

They fought for a long time until being sealed away and creating the keyshards

In their absence, the heir was created, Adrezill

But he was not the heir to the elemental planes as he thought, he was the heir to the apocalypse, created to destroy, he is all powerful and nothing can stop him

The four princes stare up at him, yet he does not feel compelled

It may be an apocalypse, but not for him or his friends, but for the princes

Adrezill senses Daemon near the castle in Aezraghn, and channels the power of the princes into one blow at Daemon, he just needs a window for attack

Smoke charges up, he can now perfectly see Daemon’s position, and begins moving as fast, no, faster than Daemon, throwing an unimaginable flurry of attacks on to him, and stuns him, at which point the bolt Adrezill prepared released directly on to him, killing him faster than should be possible

After it all happens, they feel a brief sense of victory before Adrezill feels a chill down his spine, the prophecy continues in his mind

The primordials, makers of the planes were battled by the princes, who were cursed to fight each other

Once the princes are gone, the primordials can be released

An island shaped turtle emerges

The elder tempest of the sky

The phoenix brighter than the sun

The almighty Leviathan

They have come to the material plane, to kill it

The turtle bites chunks out of the earth

The oceans set ablaze

The leviathan lurking

The elder tempests responsible

Xdri meets eyes with Henry, and he will not be holding back

Olga jumps off the building looking to fight anyone and everyone

The elder tempest attempts to take all of them out at once with a lightning storm

A bolt streams through everyone, hitting them

Smoke leaps onto the turtle and summons the hollow and the dark avengers an begins chipping away tat is the massive entity

Adrezill knows the only way to stop the primordials is to seal them away, himself the key

He has to be able to cast for a while completely uninterrupted

He mentally communicates this to everyone, and goes through a portal to the fey, back to him and Zoroc’s hut, and begins the ritual

A voice calls out angrily to Xodon, suddenly standing in darkness in the presence of Zandrien

“Take it back, Xodon, take it, we work so well together, I have remembered who I was”

The dark avenger senses Zandrien, gets permission from Smoke to go to him, and breaks into the darkness him and Xodon stand in

The dark avenger attacks Zandrien, it is deflected

Zandrien transforms into a more sinister form: “this is a battle from the old world, come to end in the new” and they begin violently clashing

Their swords clash, the dark avenger’s hope, Zandrien’s faith

The dark claw leaves the zone, the dark assassin, the dark mage, all coming to help the dark avenger and beginning to fight Zandrien, or Wei, as one

He raises his sword, slams it in the ground, and screams: I hereby banish you, AND YOUR SOUL!!!” and Wei’s soul fades into nothingness swiftly

A single silver sword drops to the ground, with the word faith engraved on it, and Xodon grabs it

Vale follows into the feywild to protect Adrezill

Smoke looks off to the city of Eidren, and sees a yellow flash approaching

He wonders what it is for only a moment, before watching feral suns body fly into Olga, slamming him down, punching, scratching, headbutting, ravaging

As Olga’s body falls, a shadowy puddle apparates and Smoke’s father emerges and uppercuts Olga, his two mentors fighting together for him

Smoke now notices his arm has corrupted almost half of his body, he feels very powerful, and then he and the dark avengers vanish

Xodon also goes to protect Adrezill

The tempest hits them with lightning, then sends a tidal wave at them

The castle comes crashing down 

The phoenix enters the feywild to stop Adrezill, firing at the roof above him

Xodon dashes in front of the attack and lets it hit him

Whitefang rushes out to Sun and Grey fighting Olga and harpoons him, anchor shim, tears off his armor, and beats his body relentlessly

Olga barely stands up barely alive, cleaves a shopkeeper and harvests his soul, then bashes Grey, grabs Whitefang and slams him, and Sun charges at him, chopping his arm off

Olga’s soul flame grabs his sword and swings it around, hitting them

Henry summons a massive fireball that hurls at Xdri, which he does not block or dodge or counterspell, and he dies in an instant

He then casts a massive disintegrate at Olga, stopping him from moving so that he gets hit by it, and heavily bloodies him

Olga swings violently but Sun stops it

Sun runs very far away to the coast, and whitefang slams his anchor into the back of Olga, throwing him into the air, and Grey concentrates into a shadow

Grey and Olga, armor shattered, exchange moves and dodges\

Olga jumps grey’s sweep, and in the fraction of a second, the shadow tightens into Grey’s fist as he whispers: “You Fool,” and disperses Olga, defeating him

Xodon continues to fight the Phoenix, the tempest throws lightning through a portal that Vale catches

The leviathan slams its body through rifts into the fey anto the back of the hut, but Adrezill maintains his concentration

In a place very far away, Smoke in the darkness sees the fabric of reality fading away

The dark avengers, unaffected by hollow corruption, gather next to him

They all sit around a campfire, an empty seat apparent, and the dark haired man tells him to sit, and the elven woman tells him they will explain

Smoke feels them all around him, he feels warm even in the endless void

“You know smoke, you’re never gonna be able to go back,” says the dark haired man

“As I expected, it’s time to join you,” he replies, and he looks up to see them all corrupted by the hollow again

“You already have.” he looks down to see himself fully corrupted, and he sees a hollowed figure ahead of them

He introduces himself as the hollowed god Zanhiel

“You are my strength”

The hollowed gods were a council made to preserve, until the events of evermoore.

A being that traveled throughout time and was altered many times, an experiment

They didnt know what called out to them

Baron was given the sword of creation, and the others given roles of their own but none as powerful as Baron’s, throwing off the balance of power

“I am the one who watches over those like you, other gods see nothing, but I see everything, and you are my sword of creation”

“And avengers, you are called”

Smoke sees the scene of Xiria played out, and returns to the battle, but those who he used to see as comrades are now only objective events

The five of them stand around Adrezill and the primordials wait to be banished as the ritual is almost complete.

That is when Smoke hears a deep, gutteral laugh

Daemon’s decrepit body is taken over by his curse, and he is now truly Lovesworn

A moan of sadness: “Tatianna…..Tatianna………tatianna”

He then summons a black hole

Henry counterspells it, and Lovesworn lets out a mournful “tatianna…”

Smoke and the dark avengers rush at Lovesworn

Lovesworn casts a tether between him and adrezill, but Zoroc helps him avoid it

Smoke slashes at him in reaction, then punches and slashes him more

Henry throws a fireball at him

His skin is not taking damage, but the attacks are hitting him and will wear down his armor eventually

Vale angrily wraps her whip around Lovesworn, and slashes him with her sword many times, breaking his mythic armor and making his skin bleed

Xodon channels his magi, then passes out

In his stead, a large air wolf emerges

The wolf spirit begins dealing continuous damage to the primordial, while the phoenix attacks back, until eventually the phoenix is defeated and turns into a scorching hot egg that will birth a new phoenix in a matter of time

Lovesworn grabs Smoke and brings him into space, and embraces him as he cries Tatianna’s name

Adrezill completes the ritual and the primordials vanish

They have won, the fight is over, and the material plane is saved

The world will live on and be repaired, and it will be defended as long as there are heroes

The wounds take time and care and it is not easy, but they do heal

Vale returns home to rebuild and make amends with her family

Xodon sails back to Fio, to protect it and rebuild it better than ever and founded on pride and purity

Zoroc returns to his studies, undo the wrongs his people suffered, and discover new things

Koin sets off on his ultimate mission with the dark avengers after saying his final goodbyes to everyone, and the legend of the dark reaper will be told forever

Adrezill sacrifices his soul to guard and keep the peace of the elements, keeping them in their places

And last, Henry, little ginger boy Henry, returns to Dragol and makes it a wonderful place, Heaven on Earth

 
  And so the Arduous tale of the Fleet of the Rising Suns comes to a close, and our heroes live on to see brighter days
