C2 Session 29

The group's two weeks of rest has come to a close

Zoroc and Adrezill return from the Feywild after an equivalent of 55 years of training

The castle is still in ruin, but it is an organized ruin

Recalling their memories, they can’t seem to clearly picture their adventures in the Feywild, and looking at their wrinkled skin, they begin to de age, returning to their previous forms as a result of a mysterious time based illness

They look off to the shore, where the new fleet of ships is preparing to set sail

They both meet up with Koin and the rest of the group

Koin decides that the fleet will sail south back to Aezraghn to see what has happened to the Silver Masks

After a couple hours of sailing, the skies begin to grey, and the temperature slowly dropping

Snow begins falling, and people’s breaths become visible to them

In the distance, seven ships slowly approach

They do not look familiar, and Koin tells the ships to ready weapons and prepare for battle

The surface of the ocean begins freezing over, and the cold is clearly emanating from the approaching ships

The ships have large icebreakers to crush through the ice they are making

Within a minute, the entire fleet is stuck in place, surrounded by ice

Koin orders the heavy guns to fire, and as the shots fly towards the enemy fleet, a black flame emerges and slices the rock apart

The ship comes into clearer view, and the name of the ship is the Snow’s hope

Koin recognizes the name, as her mother’s name is Snow

Koin walks up to the front of the ship, calling out to the enemy fleet

An elderly tabaxi emerges, very similar in appearance to Koin, it is his father

They greet each other as the fleets stand stern to stern

They each tell each other how they have much to explain

Koin’s father tells his men to stand down, and they do

He steps onto the ship, nodding his head towards the rest of the group

Koin introduces his father as a man involved in various illegal activities, and hopes to know the truth from his father

His father tells him the Orville is not who he says he is

He notices Koin’s pin, and recognizes that he has completed his oath

He then sits down and asks Koin how much he knows about the war, so Koin explains his current knowledge

He asks if he knows of the details of late queen fariya’s passing, and explains that she was cursed

He asks if they know of Oberon, and Zoroc and Adrezill’s minds spike in pain, like some type of knowledge is trying to escape

He explains that Oberon is the king of the elves and the feywild, and he made a deal with the late queen’s right hand to unleash the evil that is known as D.

He also talks about Reimund Hawkhold, Henry’s father, and his destruction

He says that the groups perception of the war has been warped, and he and his partner Harold Waydrane want to stop the war and restore Dragol to its former state

He continues to explain, and reveals his own pin of oath, that of the dragon of death

He extends his hand to Koin and tells him that the way of the dragon of death is the way to victory, and black flame extends from his fingertips

He tells Koin that the platinum church is a lie and a fraud, and to form an oath to it is to make a deal with the evil Orville

He brings out a large chest and opens it, revealing a set of armor, which he says will help Koin to bring down the council

Viewing this conversation, everyone looks at Koin’s father, and it is clear that he is being scarily genuine with his words

Koin removes his oath pin, letting it drop to the ground, disgracing the platinum dragon, and adorning the armor

As they finish conversation, they notice another seven ships approaching, but this time from the sky

The main ship is named the Maiden’s Kiss, and everyone knows that this ship belongs to Harold Waydrane

He walks onto the ship and greets them

Two others walk onto the ship, Cedric and Vivian, his first hands

They are well established students from the Academy of Revenants

Koin’s Father says that they should make it a goal to take down not only the council, but the current queen of Xiria as well

They shake on an alliance, agreeing that Koin will choose the next ruler of Xiria, as long as they leave Dragol to Waydrane

Waydrane says he has been searching for an artifact from another plane that was on Estroza, but they found it first

Koin pulls out the artifact and gives it to him, as another man walks onto the ship

He is an elf in silver robes, and Waydrane introduces him as a dragolian mage, Xdri

Xdri is allowed to examine the artifact, and tells Waydrane to tell Reimund hello, and creates a doorway

They all chase him through the door, leading them back to Aezraghn, outside the platinum church

Xodon uses shitass to surround Xdri in a cube of fire

Xdri shoots through the cube and runs into the cellar of the church, which is eerily quiet among the large city of Xiria

They all enter the cellar, chasing him swiftly

They all go down the halls and enter a large room, where ahead of them stands Xdri, Paragon, Olga, and Reia back in full form

Paragon takes the shard from Xdri, and it vanishes

They prepare to fight, and Paragon says he won’t make the same mistake he did in their last fight

Koin runs up, attempting to use his armor to cover the field with darkness, but Xdri counterspells it

Vale approaches, grabs Paragon with her whip and stabs him

After she strikes him, Paragon lets out a powerful spell that all but Adrezill are affected by, overcome with emotion

Koin is hit so hard that he becomes unconscious

Adrezill summons a large wave from the side of the enemies

Paragon and Olga easily avoid most of it, but Reia and xdri are hit

After, Xdri throws a fireball at everyone, with complete disregard for Paragon

He hits everyone except Xodon and Zoroc

Koin wakes up from the damage he took

Olga walks up to Xodon, trying to cleave him but missing, and then coming back around for a stab which hits

Xodon does not want to fight Olga, so he uses the dagger to teleport behind Xdri and Reia, extending the blade and blinding everyone in a small area, but him and Reia are fine

Reia’s form shifts to change into Xodon’s father Poco, which would require that she killed him, meaning she was behind the attack on the silver masks

She puts her pseudopod on him, attacking and assaulting his mind, hitting hard

Adrezill casts a ray of enfeeblement on Olga, but it is counterspelled

Rafwar walks slowly forward in a slump, he does not have a will to live anymore

He casts polymorph and transforms himself into a gigantic dinosaur beast, and begins to attack Olga

Xdri looks around at the protective bubble he is in, before casting a powerful spell

A large fissure in the ground emerges, striking everyone and pulling them closer

Zoroc throws his spear at Olga, also cursing him

Koin Attacks Reia vigorously, striking multiple times

Vale attacks again

Paragon heals himself up, then teleports behind everyone next to Dara, and casts a lightning bolt onto all of them

Vale falls unconscious, and Zoroc and Xodon are on the brink of being knocked out as well

Xodon alpha shifts to regain some life

Dara tries to heal Adrezill, but Paragon prime counterspells it

Reia transforms into Dowaqu, and begins scolding Rafwar

Rafwar just wants to die with his friends in this place

Olga looks at an unconscious Koin who just got hit, and attempts to finish him off

Olga suddenly vanishes with a pop as Daemon rushes in and heals everyone

Xodon heals up more

Zoroc throws his spear at her twice and casts a powerful smite on her, knocking her out

Koin tries to attack her while she’s out, but Xdri removes him

Daemon begins casting a spell at Paragon, who tries to counterspell, but it is counterspelled by Adrezill, which is counterspelled by Xdri, which is counterspelled by Zoroc

After a chain of magical breaking, there is a small pop and Paragon disappears

Adrezill and Xodon wait for the bubble around Xdri to disappear

Xdri begins casting a spell, but Daemon quickly wipes the spell away

He walks up to him quickly, empowers his hand and grabs Xdri straight out of the bubble

He tells him that he will pay, and to never come back here again as he grips him even harder

He grabs the shard from Xdri’s pocket, and Xdri lets go of a spell, and teleports away

Daemon puts the shard in a bag with the other one they retrieved from the plane of water

He drops his mask on the ground and it shatters

He then laughs maniacally, introducing himself to them as D, flaunting about how easy it is to gain the trust of people

He laughs at all of them for a short moment, and then they all teleport out

Koin is very angry, and he crushes a pillar with a powerful punch

He then gives Dara a message to send to Sun, who does not respond, but he then walks in bloodied and exhausted

Sun asks where Koin’s badge is, and he says that he will explain later

Koin says they have allied with his father and Waydrane, and then Sun shakes his head and says that he is disappointed that Koin would commit such a betrayal

Sun says they are no longer allies, and he works alone, before walking away

They all leave the cellar, and open a bloody door to see the aftermath of the ambush on the silver masks

Yinta is speared to a wall, Sebastian cut in two and stapled to separate places

Dowaqu sliced, with Henry’s name carved on his back

And Poco’s broken wheelchair, with Poco behind a table, eyes open with a large hole in his chest

Xodon walks up to Poco’s body and gently closes his eyes, letting out a couple tears

Zoroc and Adrezill stand among the terrible sight, their minds throbbing again, and they begin to recall their memories in the fey

They remember landing there and spending the first few years wandering, finding a castle, discovering the different types of fey

They came looking for answers about D and found the truth

They learned about Daemon’s curse, once a satyr living with the sealy fae, living good and happy

He fell in love with Queen tatianna, and lived happily with her until Oberon came back, at which point he cursed Daemon for overstepping

He robbed Daemon of any and all emotion

He ran away and was found by the unsealey fae and used by the queen of air and darkness

She too cursed him to forever love queen Tatianna

For his entire life, he would have no feeling, but always be infatuated with the queen and want to feel love for her

He came to the conclusion that the fey was being plagued by a place known as the material plane, and he must eliminate it if he wishes to free himself and the fey

He came across an ancient tablet in the fey, one that demands four shards from separate planes, and when combined would release the chains from the planes, allowing destruction of the material plane

The group is left to clean up the mess, and recover from the massacre
