C2 Session 28

They all stand on the battlefield, facing their enemies: Paragon, Olga the king of the beasts, and a very angry Siren

Koin inspires Xodon with bravery, and Paragon is in pure awe at Olga

Siren’s face is that of pure disgust for Paragon’s betrayal

Paragon says he should be going, but wants to test out his new toy

Magic missiles are sent out, one into Koin, three into adrezill, and three into Ardreth

Adrezill summons a large forcefield around Olga to stop him from attacking

They all see another person emerge, seemingly ignoring them and looking at Paragon, running towards him

She is dressed in white and black garments

She carries a whip on her hip and a terrifying blade with nine skulls around the hilt

Siren watches the summoning of Olga, and angrily casts a powerful spell at Paragon, attempting to dominate his mind and body

Dara attempts to break free of her chains but fails

Zoroc shoots a crossbow bolt at Paragon, and Rafwar stares in confusion

He flies into the air and casts dispel magic on Dara, but cannot break the brand

Ardreth shoots an arcane arrow at Paragon, hitting him with a shadowy darkness in the chest

Olga unsheath,sword and swings at the wall, but it doesn’t budge

He then changes his form and stabs the wall, continuously pushing on it, forming small spider cracks around the point of pressure, but he still cannot penetrate the wall

Xodon steps up to paragon and slashes him, making him begin to bleed from the all of the attacks he has not been able to dodge

Koin tries to throw a Kunai at him, but misses completely, and he cannot get close without falling into the well

Paragon takes a second to heal himself, before readying a spell

Paragon’s left arm goes up in sync with Siren’s arm, the arcane rings matching that of only dunamancy spells

A tether outstretches to both Zoroc and Olga, and they are bound together. If one of them heals or takes damage, so does the other

Adrezill moves up and tries to cast a cone of cold, but Paragon easily dispels it

The mysterious figure runs up next to Koin and throws her whip out, grabbing him and pulling him closer, then performing a brutal stab with her sword, barely scraping past him, but she swings it around and slashes

She then goes in for more attacks, viciously attacking Paragon in a fit of rage

After all of her attacks, paragon is bleeding again, this time even more so, but the woman’s anger has not been quenched

A black sphere forms in the center of all of them, sucking in a bunch of material and exploding

Everyone is hit, Zoroc and Koin more so

Zoroc shoots Siren after seeing the power of the newcomer, doing a decent bit of damage

Rafwar asks Koin for orders, and Koin tells him to attack Siren with the blow darts he gave him

Rafwar flies behind Zoroc and tries to shoot a few darts, but completely misses

Ardreth moves in on Siren, attacking with his swords a couple times

Olga notices the tether, and plunges his sword into himself twice, dealing a massive amount of damage to Zoroc, bloodying him

Xodon runs up to Siren and shoots him, piercing his chest right at the heart, severely injuring him

Koin looks at the now grapples Paragon, slashing and punching him with great force, and stunning him in the process

Paragon begins panicking, but manages to resist the stun and swiftly teleports away

Adrezill walks up to Siren, and throws magical blasts at him, hitting each of his shoulders and his stomach

He lifts his hand up, and turns into blood, dropping into the well of souls as the rift begins closing

Olga remains in the dome, angrily stabbing himself again, this time knocking Zoroc out via the tether, also ending the tether in the process

Adrezill tries to convince Olga to join them, but fails to convince him

suddenly, a magical surge enters the room, and Adrezill grows to a tall height, gains a third eye, and an ethereal shield

They try asking him about Paragon, but he does not know about him

He says they should let him go and they may spare their lives

The newcomer, who introduced herself as Vale, says they should kill him, but she doesn't know how to get through the magic barrier being held up by adrezill, or that it is being held up by him

Koin looks and sees that Dara is still branded, then he heals Zoroc

From behind them, Paragon walks up and says that he feels much better now, and he will free Olga

Several rings, nine in total form around him, and his body begins glowing with a silver/gold sheen

Adrezill raises his staff and strikes Paragon directly, but it hits the sheen of his body and fades away

Vale rushes in for more attacks, grappling with the whip, but it does not seem to affect him directly, although it is grappled to something around him

She slashes with her sword, hitting what feels like steel

Dara finally manages to break free of her cuffs, and casts revivify on Syrons bloody corpse, and he is alive, but looking very ill

Syron looks at Ardreth and begins attacking him, healing a bit in the process

Zoroc attacks Siren, hitting heavily, but blue flames emanate from Zoroc, and he is knocked out again

Ardreth attempts to move away towards Siren, but Dara takes the opportunity to attack

He resists most of the attack, and shoots his bow at Siren

Xodon rushes towards Siren, moving in and attacking him, killing him again

Koin heals Zoroc again for a small amount

Paragon channels an anti-magic sphere around himself

He then walks to the dome, and the portion he approaches disappears, letting Olga walk free

Adrezill sends an eldritch blast at Paragon, but as soon as they get close, they vanish due to his field

Vale walks up to Olga, attacking

Zoroc tries to knock down Olga with a spell, but he resists it, so zoroc shoots him with an bolt

Koin tells rafwar to find Dara’s staff, but he is struggles to find it under the pressure

Ardreth attacks and hits once

He then stabs Zoroc and knocks him out, then slashing Koin and knocking him out too

Xodon is confused on what to do, so he helps look for Dara’s staff and finds it

He hands it to Rafwar, but he quickly finds out he has no idea how to use it

Paragon then casts a large fireball upon everyone, hitting them hard

Adrezill gives himself a small amount of temporary life force

Vale slashes at Olga

Zoroc manages to get himself up

Rafwar tries desperately to use the healing rod, but can’t, and he begins tearing up

Ardreth throws attacks at Olga and hits

Olga is very angry, and strikes Zoroc down again

Xodon shifts again, summoning the wolf spirit and attaching to Koin, also healing everyone around

Koin strikes Olga hard,and manages to completely disarm him

Paragon sends out another fireball

Adrezill is knocked unconscious

Vale continues striking Olga

Dara finally manages to break the control of Siren’s brand, and looks upon the battlefield in horror

She runs over to Rafwar and gets her rod, and also notices that he is completely traumatized from the scene

She then shouts “leave this place!” and is surrounded by twilight

She grants everyone a small amount of temporary health

Zoroc is feeling better, and begins moving away, but Olga punches him and once again knocks him unconscious

Olga punches Vale

Ardreth grabs Adrezill and starts running, but he wakes up and wants to fight

Koin attacks Olga, and attempts to throw Xodon away, but fails

Paragon doesn’t like them trying to leave, and begins casting another 9th level spell

As Ardreth carries an injured Adrezill, a blast of necrotic energy strikes him with full force

Adrezill watches his friends body fall to the ground, lifeless

He angrily looks up at Paragon, tries to stun him, but it is resisted, and it fades away

Paragon laughs in his face, looking at the hopeless members of the group

Vale somehow telekinetically moves Adrezill away, then looks at Koin and tells him to run

Koin tells Zoroc to get xodon and run, and he does so

Koin looks around at the field, and everyone is in great despair

He sees Olga pick up his sword and prepare to lunge at those trying to escape

He looks at Vale and says it is time to leave

Koin tries to convince Paragon to let them go just this once ”know me as henry knows me and give me this one boon” , and after a bit of contemplation, he smiles and nods, prompting Koin to start running

Adrezill wants to stay and fight Paragon for killing Ardreth, but Koin yells viciously at him, and convinces him to leave with them

The battle is over, the enemies have left, and Siren is defeated

Zoroc’s left arm was injured beyond repair, so they amputate it and Zoroc faints from the pain

Rafwar remains in a catatonic state, still traumatized

Dara tends to the wounded, and Vale apologizes for her anger

Koin asks her to re-explain what she came to the castle for

She says she tracked down Henry to kill him for his actions in Thera, which everyone is still not aware of.

Koin has her take truth serum, and she tells the same story, so Koin knows she is telling the truth about what she saw, which urks him

Xodon sits in the corner of the room, disgruntled, not knowing what to think of her claims of Henry

After speaking for awhile, they rest for the night

In the morning, they look outside to see inklings of green sprouting from the ash, and a small fleet of ships with the flag of Da Pussy Wagon dock at the shores

Steve the grung calls out to them, saying the ship repairs are complete

Koin notices that even after a day or two, Rafwar is still looking deadpan

Koin talks to him, and says that they are here for him

He talks to him for a couple minutes, but Rafwar remains the same

Adrezill contemplates an important decision

He holds the the amulet of the planes in his hand: does he travel to another plane and train, attempting to gain more power, or stay with his friends and hope that he will be powerful enough in his current state

Ultimately, Adrezill decides to go, and Zoroc goes with him, traveling to the feywild

Koin and the others train the fleet of men during the two weeks

Many more men and ships have joined their crew to fight for the revolution

In the feywild, Adrezill and Zoroc train for a very long time

Year after year passes, and they continue to hone their skills to become stronger

After a gruesome 55 years, they receive a message from Dara, telling them that it has been 14 days

Zoroc, now age 75, and Adrezill, age 72, return to the regular plane, having learned much information “I guess its a wizard thing”

Koin spends much time assigning roles, and eventually asks Dara to send an update to the silver masks

Yinta does not respond, but Daemon responds not to Dara but to Koin, saying they have been busy dealing with an attack on the Silver Masks church, and that someone has ratted them out

He asks if everyone is okay, and Daemon says that he does not know since he ran after the battle started

He tells Koin to be careful, as there are powers at play that they do not understand

Koin and Daemon say goodbye, and Koin angrily flips a table which he promptly returns to its normal position

Dara tries to contact the other silver masks, but none of them reply
