C2 Session 17
General Summary
Koin walks over and begins investigating her desk
Henry approaches the bed and the tigers begin growling at him
Koin doesn’t find anything of interest in the desk
Henry stands on a chair to get a better view of the tiger’s chamber, only finding regular tiger stuff, but both of their chains are attached to a hook that is nailed into the floor
Koin does the same, and notices that the tigers are not normal
In front of their mouths are two long teeth, indicating that they are saber tooth tigers
He also sees there is a small rectangle cut into the ground at the spot where the hooks are nailed in
Henry spends ten minutes casting unseen servant and commanding it to try and open the latch, but it is too weak to do so
Xodon takes out the rope of mending and hands it to Henry, who commands the unseen servant to attach the rope to the latch
They all pull on the rope, easily opening the latch and it begins to come loose
The trapdoor opens, and as it opens, Henry sees an arcane glyph disappear, and a loud boom erupts, damaging Koin and Henry
Koin is knocked unconscious and Henry is heavily damaged
Ten dragonborn storm into the room, and the room is burning
Henry and Xodon decide to stay and fight
Xodon casts shadow of moil on himself using his sword
Henry casts a fog cloud around Koin and runs in towards him
A dragonborn rushes at Xodon and slashes him
Another one shoots a crossbow bolt at him and hits, and another does the same
One runs up to hit Xodon but misses, and a couple more slash at him
Another breaths a cone of fire trying to hit Xodon and clear some of the fog, not accomplishing either, and slightly damaging multiple of his allies
Another hits Xodon with a shortsword
Another hits with a longsword
The last one shoots a crossbow at him and hits
Koin continues to be unconscious
Xodon activates his revenge effect on his sword and shifts, attacking everyone near him and knocking three of them prone
Henry makes it to Koin and uses a health potion to make him conscious
One dragonborn shoots randomly into the fog, cracking the window behind them
Koin uses a healing potion on himself to gain some more health
Xodon moves in to attack one of the dragonborn, wounding and bloodying him
Henry runs to the edge of fog and casts fear, affecting all but two of the dragonborn, and accidentally affecting Xodon
One next to Xodon attacks him, and then dies from the curse and shadow moil effects
The other one next to Xodon attacks and misses
Another shoots a random crossbow, but misses everything
Koin throws some sand into the fog, and ignites his sword but misses all his attacks
Henry notices the fearful guards splitting at the door as to avoid something
Reimun walks in and speaks at Henry before beginning to cast a sixth level spell
Henry begins casting a counterspell to stop it
Both spells go off at the same time and clash, but Reimun’s spell fizzles
Xodon continues to run away from Henry
Henry tries to throw a chromatic orb at one of the dragonborn next to Xodon, but Reimun counterspells it
The guards on Xodon try to chase him as he runs from Henry, but they cannot keep up with him
Reimun casts mage armor on himself
Koin attacks and tries to trip, but fails
Xodon continues to run away, but is attacked by one of the guards
He runs out of the chamber from Henry’s spell, and becomes unaffected
He feels much better suddenly as he sees a man dressed in black with a silver mask on and kill one of the guards that was outside the chamber
The man walks in, swiftly moves past Reimun so he can’t see, and suddenly the man casts a fifth level spell and Reimun disappears
Henry throws a chromatic orb at a guard, but misses and it hits the window, breaking it
The one guard that became unaffected runs in to attack the man(Daemon), then Daemon jumps above him and casts the same spell, making him disappear
Daemon grabs all three of them and runs towards the window
One guard grapples onto Henry, another grapples to Xodon, but the shadow armor kills him
The last one shoots an arrow at Daemon, but it doesn’t do much
Reimun reappears into the room angrily, sees them all beginning to jump out the window, and he casts a fifth level spell, and an invisible force appears in front of the window stopping them from leaving
Koin runs up and hits Reimun for a bit of damage
Xodon runs to pick up his weapons
Henry stabs the guard grabbing him with his dagger and it dies from the curse(but Henry thinks he killed it because he stabbed it at the same time the curse kicked in)
One guard becomes unaffected by Henry’s spell and starts running back
Another pops back into the room, and slashing the air
Daemon casts a seventh level spell but Reimun counterspells it which makes Daemon very angry
Reimun’s body begins to burn, and wispy flames start surrounding him as he begins shining brightly
Koin begins backing up, and Reimun casts a spell but Daemon counterspells
Koin shoots a poison dart at him, and Reimun falls asleep
Xodon attacks the guard that just popped back into existence
Henry takes the opportunity to attack Reimun, but Daemon counterspells it and says they need him alive for info since they destroyed all the documents(Henry is not happy about this)
Daemon casts another fifth level spell and tells everyone to come to him
As the guards rush at them, they disappear and reappear in the middle of the platinum church
He rushes them to the basement and into a small room where he casts an eighth level spell, creating a small confined area out of the room
He bursts out angrily at the group, more specifically Henry
Places his thumb on Henry’s forehead and henry forgets how to cast a spell, but learns how to cast detect thoughts
Daemon tells him to take Koin’s truth serum and use it on Reimun and then cast the spell to find the info they need
Henry steps into the room and gives the truth serum to Reimun, and as he does so, Reimun wakes up and throws some of it up
He looks around angrily and at Daemon before Henry casts the spell
He looks in Reimun’s mind for the information on the documents in the box that blew up
He finds notes of proof of an alliance between Xiria and the armada, mostly bland and detail events from a few weeks ago, others talking about a captain of the armada bargaining with the queen for land and resources. Captain Harold wants to pillage the few remaining small cities in Aezraghn, give the land to Xiria, and in return Xiria will aid Dragol in demolishing the cities of Dragol and running the town of Amulet out of resources until they are forced to sign their land over
There is a very old piece of parchment written to queen fariya that reads: “Farya, you have to let go of this, come with me through the doorway, you know they're coming and you know what they'll do when they get here. He is dedicating his life to ending us. Why are you so adamant on staying? He told you when he cursed you that your only safety was on the other side. So please come with me. I'll be with Avenger, or as you so adamantly call it “hope.” Just please, don't let him win, he took our son, corrupted our daughter, and cursed you for death. His friend has offered to ferry us and Saran to the otherside, set us free, don't you want to be happy? Don't you want to avoid this war”.
Other information: The notes are mostly bland with meeting details and dates leading up to a few days ago consist of mostly details of the treaty. Harold is giving xiria an option to take over northern aezraghn and in return dragol will only purge resources of southern cities the queen replies back with a letter that dragol can travel freely around aezraghn in return xiria will not burn their ships slit their throats and fill their bodies with cornstalk and mail it back to dragol for their resources. The letters stop for a while. Then the attack on Thera happens. And Harold says he plans to take over as a king of Dragol and in order to do that he needs to have resources so he’ll attack fio, then move and gather resources, he’ll give all of aezraghn to the queen in return she aids him on siege of Onye aloura, taking the capital and then crusading over western dragol and will split territory with the king of amulet, with his power hell supply resources trade with aezraghn and make a gain
Once henry gets the information, he looks for any info on Daemon, but is shunted out
Daemon gestures him out and casts detect thoughts on Henry to get the information
He does so, but doesn’t stop once he has it all
Daemon begins viewing every part of his life, including the events at Thera
Henry sees the event play out as if he’s living it for the first time
As it reaches the point where Henry is holding the doll and singing the song, the doll in his bag begins humming the song as well
The link between him and Daemon stops
He looks at Henry, and there is a hard to read look on his face
He leans in and kisses Henry, and there are five rings surrounding him
Daemon erases the memories of that day, and Koin and Xodon look shocked at the series of events that just played out “I guess its a wizard thing”
