C2 Session 12
General Summary
Henry casts a spell to send a few choice words to Yinta about the war and what they should do about it
She responds, saying to defend Thera and hold off the armada, preparing for war in the coming day
Henry feels very ill, and very suddenly he gets a searing headache and falls to the ground
It’s only present for a couple seconds before disappearing
Henry looks drained and like he needs to be brought to a hospital
Xodon asks how Henry remains so calm during this, but he is used to it from having been infected by the ooze for a while now
They all decide to make their way to Rafwar to inform him of the coming war and gain his assistance
To void being spotted, they climb off the balcony and onto the ground using rope, and immediately begin sprinting into the city towards the Heirloom Order
They notice a large crowd at the building as they approach
Moving in, they see dozens of aarakocra from the order walking in and out, taking orders from Rafwar who is sitting in the office inside
They enter his chamber and he beckons them to sit down while having his assistant usher the other people out
He asks if they killed the ooze, and they say yes but gesture towards Henry who still looks pretty bad
Koin begins explaining everything but Rafwar struggles to understand, so Xodon explains it
They give him all the letters that they found and he starts reading them stressfully
He says they should take Henry to the old Yuan ti city for his safety
Henry says he would rather fight, and as he says it his head pulses and the headache returns for a few seconds the same as just earlier
Says they will take him to the fold where there are no people and he will be safe
Says he will need Koin for special ops and Xodon on the front line, tells him to meet with general Bazda
Guards bring Henry out of the building, and he nods to Koin and Xodon, wishing them luck
As Henry and the guards continue down the road, his head surges again and he passes out
Xodon walks out to grab a few arrows from the various barrels, before walking back to Koin
Koin and Xodon make their way towards their respective posts
Xodon arrives at the coast and finds a small battery of soldiers
He hasn’t been to war before, but he knows there is not a lot of men, only about 60
He sees crates surrounding a campfire, with all of the three races of Thera gathered in rezula armor
A stout aarakocra walks out to meet him, asks how he can help Xodon
He introduces himself and says he was sent by Rafwar
The general says he will be doing a briefing soon and to wait by the rest of the troops
He looks Xodon up and down, says he has seen battle, and that most of the men here haven’t
Says that they cannot handle battling two fronts at once, so he will take him and his most experienced men west to fight and hopefully win the battle against the black suns
Says that if any of the less experienced men want to live, they need a leader, someone like Xodon
He wants him to comfort them as it will most likely be the last day most of them are alive
The general and about forty men walk off westward, and the rest look confused before directing their eyes towards Xodon
He notices that they all appear to be children, some as young as fourteen
One of the boys is talking about his home and what he thinks of when he thinks of home
They all go around in a circle and do the same, and Xodon can tell that they are all very afraid of the coming day
The circle arrives at Xodon, and he begins speaking
He says he doesn’t know where he is originally from, but the things that remind him of home are the things that he gets to share with people and fight evil and do good for others around him
They ask if he has any family, Xodon mentions Poco
One of the kids says he wants to make it out of this after it is all over, so he can go home and hug his mom again
Xodon has a memory of his first meeting of Poco, and when Xodon took an arrow for a duck that was about to die
He remembers that Poco told him that he could’ve let the ducks die, but he stood up for them because it was what he believed in and what he stood for
Xodon stands up and says very clearly, that he will protect all of them will his life
One of the kids says that he can’t promise that, and that everyone on this beach is as good as dead, they will storm the beach with hundreds of men and massacre anyone standing in their way
He turns his head towards the beach, a tear dropping from his face, and says that he is glad he gets to see such a beautiful scene before he dies
Xodon gets up and sits around the general’s tent, and watches the kids struggle to do any sort of training, armor on wrong, form scuffed, weapons being handled terribly
Xodon tries telling them to leave and go to the yuan ti city, but they are a bit confused
Xodon says how none of the boys are prepared in any way to fight, and the kids understand and pack their stuff up and move towards the underground city
The sunset begins to end and the sky darkens as he sits alone at the campfire
A dark cloud in the far distance emerges, which he can only assume to be the armada
He looks up at a star, and then a flash of blue flashes for just a second
Xodon feels inspired, and then a sudden thud occurs as a crate washes ashore
He opens it and sees a black, long, rapier inside
He picks it up and feels that the blade holds a certain importance, and feels immediately attuned to it
He has picked up the fabled Zandrien’s blade, a sword used to kill hundred of men long ago
Rewind: Koin spends the day preparing and securing various traps, and has also been ordered to find and assassinate the dragolian spies after doing so
The order knows the identity of the spy leader, Adam Hardrum, and Koin must search the borders and take him out swiftly and stealthily due to the dragolians magical capabilities
Koin begins his search on the northern perimeter, not noticing anyone northeast, but through the canopy on the east perimeter he sees campfire smoke
He moves silently through the canopy towards the camp, traveling miles within minutes, arriving at the camp to see five dragolians, including Adam Hardrum
They are conversing about the strategy of the order and Thera, which is exactly the strategy Koin knows
They are writing a letter to captain Ildrae informing him of the preparations and traps
After many minutes of waiting, one of the men walks off about eighty feet away from the camp, and Koin moves in for the kill
He ignites his sword and jumps down on the man, surprising and striking him
He trips the man and then immediately punches him
He then slashes him with the sword again, killing him
Koin searches the body and finds only a pocketwatch and his Theran clothes, and drags the body deeper into the forest
He returns to the canopy, just in time to hear another one of them say that they are going to check on the now-dead spy
He follows him into the forest then jumps on to him and slashes him
The same order of events take place as the first spy, and Koin kills him
This kill was a little loud, and the two other spies grab torches and begin making their way into the forest
Koin leaves the body and sprints into the trees back to the camp
The two other guards are in the forest, and Koin is watching Adam Hardrum alone in the camp
He jumps down on him with the ignited sword, pushing the blade deep into his chest, punching him and killing him in a blinding light
Koin then goes back into the trees and finds the other two, killing them swiftly
He grabs the unfinished letter to Ildrae, and scraps it, rewriting it and directing the troops to the exact point where the traps are
He also finds information on the spy that was getting them all the information, and the spy turned out to Earnhardt, who is now dead due to Henry
He finds a dragolian symbol, and returns to Rafwar
Rafwar says that he will need to immediately kill anyone with that emblem, as they are high ranking mages
Koin fills him in on all the other info, before leaving and preparing for the next day
Rewind: Henry awakens in a cell in the fold
He is dying, and looks at his pale hands, his veins now black, vision blurred, the cell is damp and cold and he is sick
His body pulses again
He sees images in his head many memories fly by him
A hooded man he can't see his face
Nonono henry you can't die yet
Goes unconscious
He wakes up bandages covering him next to him a table filled with healing equipment
Henry i'm here to help you
Dowaqu speaks as if he's trying to help him he holds out container of black ink
He's giving him a tattoo
He's telling him that the thing in his head is a obblex
Go hit a laboratory in the platinum peaks
Intricate the tattoo is on his back magic comes with every prick of the needle
The thing inside was made by zidek
Meant to help with psychic powers
Drains the hosts of all their memories and health and mind were to kill him
The tattoo will keep it at bay and he won't be able to spread
Several hours later and the tattoo is complete
Will gonna have to keep calm

He thinks then Dowaqu and henry are having a cool ass battle all monk and fighter like
Henrys too physically weak to stay with this so he must train but he is able to do martial arts like a cool kid
For several hours he's being taught more about magic while reciting all that's happened and new
Oh he's having a training montage then a horn the attack is here he then brakes henry's chains and releasing him Xodon sits on the coast then a 7 ships the sun rises xodon rises and readys in the sand
Koin looks from the top of town hall and readys
