C2 Session 1

The three adventurers ended up in the bear’s claw tavern in the city of [[Ouran]]. In this tavern, they learn that goblin villages to the north are being affected by a terrible plague. They also learn that there are Dragolians in the city collecting taxes, people are getting their houses robbed by nameless bandits, and the owner of the tavern has not come out of his room in over two weeks. The adventurers all awaited a Sir [[Rafwar]] Quoris, who did not appear for most of the day. However, at nightfall he was seen being thrown out by the guards of the tavern. The group stopped him from being thrown out, at which point Sir Rafwar stated his goal. He spent all his gold trying to hire mercenaries to investigate the nearby dark tower, which he suspects is actually the fabled [[Rivendale Tower]] in disguise. 
  He said that all the gold they found and any artifacts he did not want, they could keep. So they began their journey, and when they reached their destination, there was nothing in sight. After approximately an hour and a half, one member spoke the word “Rivendale,” and a large ent emerged from it’s static position, granting the group passage to the spire. They found three pixie children playing on a bridge, who said that they were afraid of a creature called the dubh sith. None of them knew how to translate the name of this creature, only that these pixies were scared of it. Now, the adventurers stood in front of a narrow doorway leading into the massive spire.
