C1 Session 16
General Summary
From outside the dome, [[Arturim]] and [[Murfy]] see [[Quinn]]'s body light up, and we assume that he is injured. We rush to his aid to find that he is perfectly fine, as he descends with his glass heirloom bow in hand. Quinn has a vision, he is 12 years old, as his uncle is helping him aim an arrow, as he remembers shooting that exact arrow, as he shoots a magical arrow from his quiver and shatters the barrier on this floating island. He can now feel himself gaining power as the funneling clouds above shape into a three-headed dragon with four wings, it stands tall, staring down at him with an odd expression. It is drake-like, but not a dragon. It takes up the entire sky, yet it isn’t real. As it flies away, the clouds dissipate, and we are suddenly teleported back on to the ground as we watch the massive city above us blink out of existence, and faintly in the distance the roar of the three-headed dragon can be heard. The only threat remaining is [[Aidren]], and the day is ours. Our small army of about 500 men and women are all ready to fight. We have some leads on where his base might be, but no definite locations. Quinn makes a small motivational battle speech, and the people begin to stir and gather at his words. They are all preparing to give their lives for the prosperity of others. Everyone is going crazy and celebrating, they are completely ready to kill the fuck outta Aidren. Afterwards, we gather in the meeting room with the most important people(Raven, other main members, etc.). All we know of Aidren’s base is that it is south of [[Onye Aloura]]. Murfy heads downstairs to begin working on repairing his armor, but is struggling with it a bit, as it is not a very familiar form of magic to him. He decides to use his vessel to call an echo to our timeline to find more information on the armor. The echo says that it is meant to keep him alive and he needs to use magic to fix it. Murfy asks specifically how to fix it. The echo says that there is first a spell that he must learn from Aidren, then he will need a lot of materials, and the armor is very hard to work. But most importantly, he needs Aidren, the dragons, and pure magic. The echo then disappears. Suddenly, [[Raven]] calls a meeting to inform us that her men have found Aidren’s tower, and there is a small militia guarding it. Raven wonders why Onye Aloura has been so quiet lately and why [[High King Dronos]] hasn’t stepped in to help. She is worried that bad things will happen again when we fight him this time, and tells us to be careful. She asks about transport, but Damare has that covered as he still has access to the midnight mages portal system, by which he can move just over 100 men with his 12 mages. He advises that given Aidren’s power, we should not send all of our men in the event that we die. We all agree on the plan, and will set out in the morning to take the fight to Aidren. Everyone spends the rest of the night preparing. Raven infuses items and practices her magic. Damare focuses his power to make a powerful amulet. All of the mages are practicing for the battle. I am in my room, staring at a medieval punching bag, as i punch and stop my own fist an inch next to the bag, as it splits, and flowers burst out, as i teleport around it and annihilate it continuously. Quinn is realizing his power and his achieved goal of being a guardian of humanity. Murfy is casting spells, holding the effects of them, then reversing them, as well as making potions and storing them for later. We wake up in the morning to the small army of men, each in groups of 10 next to their respective mages, preparing to teleport to an area near the tower. Damare has the circle prepared, with Raven next to him. He activates the circle, with 6 mages to his right, 6 to his left. They chant the spell unanimously, as they draw the final lines, and we are all teleported just outside of Onye Aloura, about a mile. It is about half a day's travel to Aidren’s base, and we see it in the distance, terrifying and looming, just as Aidren would’ve built it. Outside, we can faintly see about 100 undead soldiers, standing there, menacingly, blocking the bridge. Behind them, there are about 20 large, muscly undead, sitting at the gate. Everyone looks at each other, as we rush into battle. Quinn conjures a barrage above the large group of undead, and it wipes out most of the skeletons, and the zombies are hit hard but not killed. I use my entire turn to dash into the middle of the enemy forces, and Murfy begins charging and commands the archers to begin firing on them. They fire a flurry of arrows, wiping out even more skeletons and kills all the zombies previously hit by the barrage. The skeletons charge and a couple try to attack me but miss. The zombies all swarm me, but only 2 of them manage to hit me, as I get hit with a couple punches in the middle of dodging the swarm. In the back, we see an unrecognizable man walking with plate armor, a shield, and a longsword, as he shouts for everyone to go forward and charge in a language only I understand. Quinn commands the frontlines to advance. I use my breath weapon and kill all 15 zombies, but they reanimate. The mages summon trebuchets that obliterate the zombies and skeletons. The enemies try to attack me again, and one specifically looks kind of odd, but still can’t hit me. The shield dude commands everyone to go and attack the others. As they all run away I hit the odd lookin dude. Then the shield dude attacks me and hits me hard, giving me a mind shattering headache. The ogres attack our frontlines, killing four more of ours. I attack the shield guy but i don’t deal any damage because apparently he’s immune to necrotic damage because he’s a death knight but how the fuck am I supposed to know that so I don’t get any fucking healing because mr. DM wanted to fuck me. More of our guys die, but they are slowly advancing and taking out more enemies. Quinn shoots a couple arrows and hits the shield guy. The mages and archers attack, but only the archers hit. Unfortunately, some of our people were hit by the arrows, and we lost 9 people. I hit and stun the shield man, and our shield wall takes out a bunch of attackers. Murfy obliterates an ogre, and the enemies fuck us up, and broke the shield. Fortunately, Quinns attacks take out the rest of the attackers, leaving only the stunned man with a shield. Quinn attacks, I attack. Then he is unstunned, at which point he releases a destructive wave in the ground, which hits me and kills the rest of our forces. The tower pulses, as our murdered forces begin to rise. 38 undead soldiers face us. They kill all of our healers, bringing the total undead to 68. The mages then blow the shield guy up immediately. We see Raven and Damare fighting the undead with our archers and mages. Raven tells us to go to the tower, so we do. The tower is made of the same black metal that Aidren used to forge his signature armor. The door is locked but Murfy picks it. There are books lining the shelves, and staircases going up. Going up the stairs, Murfy picks another lock and we enter a large library. As we walk around, from behind us we hear a cackling sound. A floating skull shoots a fireball at us. I dodge it and Murfy and Quinn get hit.
