C1 Session 14
General Summary
We all leave the area very confused and exhausted. We don’t know how he is alive or what he has become, we just know that he is significantly more powerful than before and he has a lot more vessels. We have a book that notes every avatar that [[Hilda]] captured and retained, as well as their locations. The codex of how everything in the library and books is organized is so complex that you would have to know how it works to find the info that you were looking for. Each book follows a specific equation that makes sure that every page of a book is part of a different book. Murfy opens his Hilda’s personal book that has some weird illusion that shifts two forms of common together to make an elvish text. It says: there are multiple avatars, one being just north of Syron, it’s uncapturable and her capturing attempt failed. Next is [[The Avatar of the Voyager]], because the keep constantly moves around the continent, it’s hard to track and it’s pattern is sporadic. Now the ones she captured: [[The Avatar of the Mind]], she put it in a vessel of a crown. Next, [[The Avatar of the Planes]], in the vessel of an amulet. [[The Avatar of the Shadow]] in a book, And [[The Avatar of the Storm]], put into a double-bladed scimitar. Extra notes about how [[The Avatar of Death]] kills anyone who enters the keep, shadow gives you teleportation, mind gives you the ability to assault people’s minds, infinite telepathic range. Planes gives you the ability to shift planes at will, moving between them freely. Storm works differently than most elemental avatars, it gives you more movement, using kinetic energy to deal significantly more damage than normal. All of the avatars that she has captured seem very familiar. Through all this, we can come to the conclusion that she was working very closely with [[Aidren]], for reasons unknown. [[Murfy]] grabs the book and goes over to [[Raven]]’s room to tell her what Hilda was doing. Murfy then goes to the library to look at some notes. Arturim and Quinn watch as he goes along the isles, flipping through random pages and grabbing various books. He is looking for info on Aidren and the avatars. In the meanwhile, Arturim and Quinn go to the place to get our ID’s made. On the way we stop by Raven’s room to let her know to head down to the library to meet Murfy. We get to the forge and nobody is currently there, but there are some chests around. There is a medallion hanging on the wall and a ribbon sticking out of a chest. The ribbon is meant for a person of high command. We wait about an hour and then an orange, youngish looking, dorky kinda guy walks in. we ask about our badges, and he gives me mine, but says he’ll have to make a new badge for Quinn, as the old one is blood stained from Hilda being fucking obliterated. The smith tells us it will take until around tomorrow to get his and Murfy’s badges made. Quinn decides to familiarize himself with the HQ, and I leave on my way to check out my old monastery. I arrive and it looks quite abandoned, and I walk in. It looks as if it has been abandoned for the past 10 years. There’s some sort of dust on the ground, but when I run my finger on it it becomes a purplish red. At the same time I notice that the walls are also black. One of the walls where I used to train is broken and looks scorched and earthen. Fuckin Aidren had a fun time here. Walking over, I notice one clean spot where a silver bowl is, the bowl I used to use for realigning my [[Ki]]. I am put into a flashback as he picks it up. Arturim is in the meditation room where his master [[Grimm]] is teaching the younglings in meditation. It’s peaceful, but all of a sudden the sky darkens, as if the sun was completely blocked out, but his master is calm. I cannot move my body since I am not actually there. The wall breaks in, as a force of magma blows through the wall. My master pushes some of the kids out of the way as they use some sort of forcefield to push the magma back. The vision fades, and I go over to the training room. Everything is scorched and burned, except for one silver shortsword. Arturim picks it up and his vision locks into another flashback. Arturim watches as the kids who were just training have a look of horror on their face as a flash of white goes across the room. The figures which he thought were dummies are the charred bodies of dragonborn children. The vision fades, and he walks through the rest of the monastery. There is a vial, Arturim touches it expecting another vision, but nothing happens. His ki pings behind me, and my master is standing there. He looks just as young, but he is faded. His eyes are black, instead of the usual vibrant blue, and his ki is not how it used to be, and all of a sudden, he hades into dust. I walk into the sleeping quarters as I see a vivid burnt corpse of a frightened dragonborn child. Another vision. This time Aidren is there, and the child is alive. Aidren puts his skeletal hand on the child's face, and the child fades and corrupts. The vision ends, and there is a child. His eyes blink blue, and he intends to fight me. As the corpse blinks, it’s fingers seem to crack. I teleport behind it and slash it twice, with a neck twist, killing it. It is more of a mercy kill rather than an honorable kill. I hear from behind me, a voice that says “you aren’t here”. I notice that dozens of these dead children start to animate in place. 4 more rush at me. I continue to kill them, taking their ki. But their ki is corrupt and nasty, just like when I took Aidren’s ki. I kill the last one, and the voice comes back. “You could’ve saved them”. Grimm is behind me, he has a slash down his body, with scorch marks all over them, and 16 more children behind him. All of the children rush at me. They all come storming at me as I channel my breath weapon and take out a chunk of them. There are 9 left. I continue fighting them, there are only a few left. I chop down the rest, as my master watches. He is the only one left. He asks why I won’t join Aidren, as he can give me so much power. He reaches his hand out and another memory triggers. It shows Aidren fighting my master, but my master is losing. Aidren takes his sword and shoves it through him, as he musters words through his skeletal jaw. My master withers away through his attempt to fight. Aidren says that his will will be done, looking directly at me, and vision fades. My master says that I now see why I must join Aidren, but I still refuse. He says I will die, and it is now time for a battle between my master. This intense battle continues on, until he runs out of ki to replenish as I am pulling it away. As I pull the last of it away, and he thanks me as he fades into dust, and the battle is over. Cut to Murfy, he is talking to Raven, asking what Hilda had her doing, and wants her help researching Aidren. He tells her about Hilda’s dealing with Aidren, but she is in disbelief. He explains to her the artifacts and such. Now the book info
Book Info
Aidren came back a year after he was supposedly killed. His goal has changed and he is no longer working towards fighting the gods. He wants to change the world into an infinite undeath, and how he was resurrected as a weapon to the master. The only reason he was talking with Hilda was because she needed help learning Murfy’s power. She would give him vessels in exchange for knowledge. He eventually grew tired of her and built a tower which he secludes himself to. Hilda noted that she doesn't know where his phylactery is, the thing he is bound to. He looks to inflict undeath onto everyone. Hilda mentions that he is limitless in power.

Murfy talks to Raven about a concept for what is basically a medieval firearm, a fucking automatic crossbow, with a device that can enlarge the arrows. Raven says that the research for that tech will take months, and she doesn’t know if there are months left. Murfy explains the battle we had with Aidren in the basement. After a few hours we all meet back up. I decide to take a nap while they are talking, and Murfy talks to Quinn about his findings on Aidren. After some discussion, we head to bed. We wake up and decide to teleport north of [[Cirin]]. We successfully teleport to the exact spot in front of the keep, however immediately we feel our fucking life essences being drained, HEAVY fuck off vibes. I stroll on in, and as I touch the door it DOES NOT feel good. Quinn is gettin heavy portal vibes, specifically heavy astral plane travel. I continue to push the door and go in. it’s just a dark shadow, but we feel drawn to it. We are all lost in space. Me and Quinn do not know where we are, but Murfy knows that we’re in the astral plane. There seem to be people walking around in the distance, and there is no portal back. Murfy sees that this is not actually the astral plane, but a mini version of it in a sense. Getting closer to the people, they are apparently just corpses. A dude says “WHO DARES” and we look up to see a giant eyeball in the sky. It rolls back and it’s some weird giant ball with one big eye and multiple smaller eyes around it. Murfy uses astral projection, and we are teleported to a large library with infinite amounts of bookcases. The eye is terrified and startled by us. The eye flies up and asks who we are and what's going on. We tell him and he is very confused about what we’re talking about, but Murfy is certain that the avatar is here somewhere. The eye’s name is Xanathar, and he has no knowledge of like anything at all. He continues to ask Arturim questions but when he gives him answers he just looks dumbfounded. When I go to investigate the area, he tells me not to move. I keep moving and he shits out 5 eyes that multiply into about 20 small eyes. The fish in the bowl, Sylgar, is mimicking everything we say and putting it into our heads. I notice that there’s a black crystal in his bowl. Murfy diverts Xanathar’s attention and the crystal starts to shake, as the crystal forms into a shadow sylgar. Then Xanathar looks back and the shadow Sylgar forms back into a crystal. I use my body to shade Xanathar’s vision from the bowl. The crystal turns back into shadow Sylgar. I walk over to the bookshelves, there’s nothing in the books. Xanathar is dead set on Sylgar. I pick up the bowl, throw it at the ground, and it disappears and reappears on the desk. Turns out the solution was to just fucking ask for the crystal. So I get the crystal and we all plane shift back to the regular plane. As we get back the crystal vibrates as a shadow version of myself appears. After a bloody battle of me getting fucked over, I outplay the shadow Arturim, and fall dead. I am in a world of black, and I feel a crackle of energy, then a light. I step into the light and I am a shadowy form, that I can fold to my will. I form it into my regular shape. The tips of my scales turn white, as the shadow seeps into me and I see myself transforming. I am becoming something else, something more powerful than ever before. I feel an intense pain, and as Murfy is trying to revive me, the spell isn’t affecting me, and something within the weave is resisting the spell. I am sitting in a beam of light, embracing everything that is happening as my shape constantly transforms. The light fades from me and it’s darkness again. I am shaped into a fucking badass motherfucker. We’re now looking down on the city of Cirin, and i have a fucking cool ass avatar.
