C1 Session 11
General Summary
Description of this keep: central tower is very high up, three towers are floating and linked by a bridge about 100 feet up. We start fighting the nightmare guy immediately. [[Quinn]] steps into the ethereal plane and sees the guy on the nightmare and some giant fucking gorilla thing about halfway up the central tower. The guy on the horse is dead, and the nightmare steps out of the plane, stomps, and makes the rope disappear as well as shunting [[Arturim]] into the ethereal plane, falling infinitely. Quinn pulls me out with an ability he has. We notice that the towers are all painted differently. One like the sun, another like the moon, and the last like the stars. The central is painted like the cosmos. [[Murfy]] backs up out of the range of the anti-magic field and puts a spell in his backpack. He gives it to me and I jump up the moon painted tower and throw it back down. Murfy and Quinn make it up as well. We can see into the room, there is a 5 by 5 tile grid with a staircase going up on the opposite side of the room. Arturim walks onto the center bottom tile and right as he's about to step a voice tells me to stop but I ignore it. A light turns red on the tile and Arturim gets hurt as the floor explodes. There’s no floor so we jump across and continue upwards. On the second floor it looks to be a wizard’s study, a desk in the middle with ink and paper, as well as multiple bookshelves. Murfy checks for traps, he doesn’t think there’s any traps. Arturim walks up to the desk. It has a quill pen and ink, with scattered papers. There are bookshelves to the left and right, and another staircase going up. The floor is carpeted with a nice red. None of the papers have anything written on them, and the desk is more of a table, as there are no compartments on it. There is one lit candle in the room, it doesn’t seem to be burning down which is odd. After 10-15 minutes the wax is barely starting to melt. Murfy notices that there is a strong magic everywhere, but the source is not coming from this room. We’ve concluded that time is distorted and that the time distortion and anti-magic field are part of the same spell or field. When we turn to go up the stairs, we see a giant metal door with a keyhole and the key to it is presumably very intricate. Meanwhile, Murfy is a goddamn genius and reveals ink on the apparently heat treated papers. We jump back down and we notice that the papers reveal a grid of plans to something. We head over to the sun tower and I jump up. Murfy and Quinn get up, and there’s some monolithic puzzle and thank god Murfy found the plans. He solves it easy peasy and we get across. There is a key infused in earth, but it is not the key to the giant metal door. I almost try to pull it out but Murfy beats me and turns it, releasing it from the ground. The tower starts to crumble so we get the fuck out of there. Arturim jumps straight off and is fine. Can’t say the same for Murfy and Quinn. I watch them as the tower crumbles to pieces. They each take some damage from falling and bricks falling on them. The entire tower is gone, and as it happens there is a mysterious shimmer across the tower. We walk up to the star tower and use the last uses of the jump backpack to get up. The first floor looks like a gladiator’s pit. Writing on the far wall says that 3 chalices of red must be spilled. There are also 3 people, a greenish demon with barbs, a black demon with hooks, and one red classical demon with a dog. We recognize them to be [[Aidren]]’s forces. We hear screaming from behind as drogon comes in clutch and hits all of them. We attack, drogon rages, dealing a bit of damage to us in exchange for some temp hp, he then fucks up the red demon. I attack the black demon and all the sudden drogon questions where the little girl he brought with went. Murfy is worried that his basically child wandered off with drogon. Multiple more attacks happen and all of the sudden we hear [[Raven]] from behind us struggling up the tower, says she’s coming to help us, and proceeds to MURDER them. Like FUCKING MURDER. Like you don’t understand. MURDER.
[[Pain]] finishes off the last one and a staircase appears. Murfy comforts her, but he says he is disappointed in Raven. She and all of her clones are collectively sad. He grabs a rock, uses magic to make it spin and play a lullaby, and she gives him a big hug. We head upstairs to a room with multiple chests that are barred, as well as pedestals with massive keys and the key to the moon room. The keys do not go to the chests. We head upstairs to the room with a mumbling man. The door is locked, but Raven casts something and a hand comes out with her thieves tools and unlocks the door. Goddamn [[Aidren]] is here. He grabs a stone on the ground and says we won’t stop him this time. He then smacks through the wall and the tower starts to crumble. Me and drogon yeet off with raven on his back. Pain throws Raven at me, Raven calls me babyman as we’re falling, and we all fall. Pain carries us up to the moon tower. There is a surge of magic releasing from the top of the central tower, and the blades of grass and everything in the area is significantly slowed. We open the door in the moon tower and a giant monkey grabs Pain, but he is not having it and they start boxing. The monkey summons another monkey and it starts chasing us. He is on Arturim's tail but he does his signature move and stuns the fuck out of him before running up to the next floor with the rest of them. We unlock the next door and can see the arcane energy coursing through the tower and Aidren, who is flying in the air monologuing. All of the sudden the ritual stops and Aidren is confused. His wings dull out for a second as he starts to fall. We hear a soft violin playing, as the man, the fucking myth, and BY GOD THE LEGEND, [[Storme]] walks up. Aidren tries to grab his scimitar and attack him but Storme deflects it and then attacks him, Aidren is bleeding. Aidren is very distraught and afraid of this man that he doesn’t know, we are now in combat. Aidren gets up and resumes the ritual. Fast forward, Storme did some fuck shit, apparently he also has a [[Raven Eye]], he stares directly at Murfy and doing so gives him some special buff. Storme wants [[The Avatar of Time]] for himself. Murfy uses his raven eye to dispel the ritual, Aidren goes to counter spell but Storme cuts off his arm, Aidren is mortified. This fight is pretty dumb, I can’t really do anything because my rolls are shit, so that’s a fatass vibe check. It’s cool for everybody else though so it’s fine. But thank god, Arturim gets the glory of killing him by his hand and feeling his life force drain into him. Murfy runs over to Raven, but all of us freeze. She’s starting to move a bit, and we notice that the vessel of the time avatar is cracked, and it needs to be bound to something immediately. The surge of power flows through Murfy and into Raven’s dagger. It is now slightly cracked, with a void-like gemstone, sharp and beautiful. The voice from the vessel isn’t an avatar, its [[Balakar, The Blue Dragon]]. The land transforms as everything is going super speed. He says we owe him ten years, and that’s what he’ll take. The Legion of Revenants will be a forgotten myth. He says to watch as our lives disappear, and time is being sped up rapidly. 10 years have passed, and Raven woke up from her revival with nobody there. What a fuckass session
