C1 Session 10

General Summary

[[High King Dronos]] has called us back into the city, as our headquarters is functional. He needs us to solve the problem around Aidren immediately. Kevin is looking for me and barely sees me because of his fuckass raven eye shit, what a dickhead. I clamber out of my hiding spot and curse under my breath as I follow him out of the tavern and we head over to the headquarters. The headquarters are pretty big, large, beautiful entrance, and a few large courtyards. There are stained glass pieces in the main windows. They depict grass around a tree, but the tree is made out of different types of blades. There is a note in the door and I grab it. It is from Dronos and he says he whipped up a structure quick and he hopes we like it. A man tried to stop us from entering but Murfy the bossman got us past him. We follow him into the meeting room where tryouts for the org. will be held. He gives us the blueprint and leaves us since he has work to do and knows we will be busy. Time for tryouts. The first guy that comes in is a halfling, gray eyes, leather armor, he seems shy. He takes his spear and does some fancy moves with him, then thanks us and leaves. Next person is a dwarf, long beard, white haired asian. In monk's clothing. He does some wack ass acrobatics and crunches his bones after trying to do a backflip and gets carried out by workers. Next up is a human, he speaks quite eloquently. He has no martial skills, but hopes to work in our financial branch. He tries to finesse us but fails. Next is a gnome, who knows us quite well. He doesn’t have much skill, but he’s an okay magician. He pulls some wack shit and gets in, he’s pretty cool. Next person is a human with a sword. He says he is a man here to swing with his sword. Kev casts a spell and apparently it’s a little girl who’s raggedy. She still wants to try and I let her, she wants to spar with me. I watch as she turns into an emotionless husk. She disappears and reappears in the air and shoves a shadow blade and another blade into me. This is not a spar, this is M U R D E R. I then beat the fuck out of her and she responds by duplicating, HOW FUCKING FUN. [[Murfy]] calls the match after I get irritated. She turns back into a little girl and apologizes, and asks to stay at the HQ. I have a worker guide her to room 3. Next is Zach’s character, he’s some weird archer dude, does some cool archery stuff, he introduces himself as [[Quinn]] do we don’t have a choice in accepting him or not. Next guy is some meaty ass dwarf with spike metal. He shouts really loud, flexes his muscles, rages, and destroys everything, including a servant’s fucking knee. Surprisingly, he’s okay. After he leaves, a halfling with a weird accent walks in and he has a really long name. He pulls out bagpipes from behind the wall, but they have every instrument attached to it, and he plays them all incredibly. Then he roasts the fuck out of me, takes control of my body, and makes me punch kev, but kev puts me to sleep with his eye. The dude leaves, and that rounds out auditions for today. We then spend some time decorating, and I need to find more info on our situation. I talk to [[Tyrben]]. I find out that [[Aidren]] is trying to hire the lower ranked people in the town to do some work, and a strange building has popped up to the north. I do some more investigating, and find that some people who have had their homes destroyed are getting notices to travel as far east as they can, and that Aidren has something there. I can understand that he is trying to build something to the east that he needs help with. He is calling the poor and homeless to leave the city and the poor economy to join him in a new land of demons and devils. Quinn finds that interplanar teleportation has been very popular lately within the midnight mages. Damare says that something odd is happening within the midnight mages, and all information on the dragons, dragon keep, Aidren, and related topics have been wiped and/or he no longer has access to the information anymore. Murfy goes to [[The Ravens]] to find any information on the dragons or Aidren, and meets with [[Hilda]]. She values him as a son, but still denies his request for information due to the observant nature of The Ravens. He does however find a note that can be interpreted as either Aidren knowing the location of another avatar, in the process of obtaining another avatar, or already has another avatar. I go out and ask Tyrben if he knows of the whereabouts of storme, but he knows nothing, which is rare. We then had to pay a F I N E debt to the cart and horse man. We look around and know that the dragon camps will have horses. We head to the dragon camps, and as we arrive, dragonborn are arming up for war in the north. I have to talk to the chieftain to get horses. I walk in and Arthur is at a table looking at a war map. He remembers me, and sends me to Bernard, a red dragonborn with black hair, also blind. He has fucking down syndrome and is not good at math, but he gives us cheap horses. We’re on our way to north of syron. On our way, when we occasionally crest hills, we can see the battle, and it does not look good. We heard that we were winning, but that was clearly not the case. Once we’re about a week away we can see the structure. It’s very big, similar to the dragon keep, fit for holding an avatar. We continue on and get to the foot of it, to find that there is no entrance. Murfy tries to cast multiple spells but none of them work. I start running up the wall to the top, and as I almost reach the top, a man on a nightmare with a sword appears above me and laughs.
