Fotiàtrine (FOH-shee-uh-treen)

Fotiàtrine is an uncommon material throughout Eventide, sometimes used in making Orlentrine. Fotiàtrine is a semi transparent crystal, seeming to hold some sort of thin mist or fog inside. It is found exclusively in large underground geodes, large enough for medium creatures to walk freely in. These Fotiàtrine deposits are occasionally home to rare creatures, most of which seem to be non-hostile. It seems to be largely composed of oxygen, and the crystal itself creates a numbing effect when pressed firmly against a creature's skin.   When not being used to make Orlentrine or numb wounds, Fotiàtrine is used in fashion, accessories, and as a means of showing off to others. They have often been used by tailors and dressmakers while working for nobles or monarchs, as well as having use in chandeliers, crowns, and general gem inlayed items.
