Stormchild
The strict, aristocratic city on a cliffisde. One may only enter through approved gateways carrying only approved items. The aristocracy is known for their gambling events and their collection of trophies. They are viewed as somewhat ridiculous, sporting fake noses to appear more bulbous and a stylish monocle. The richest citizens live atop the cliff, overlooking the Great Trade Sea. The further down the hill, the poorer the people, generally speaking. The governor's name is Jorthy Pillsquire, and his manor sits at the highest point on the cliff, with a skyport coming off it for the governor's personal balloon he purchased from Jillibrett. He is known to be obsessed with industry and technology, and collects all of the newest inventions. The town is surrounded by a stone wall, with beacons at each tower point and artillery mounted on the walls. The city is surrounded by fields of grain; wheat, rye, barley.
Well known to citizens and mystics around the world is the Palanquin of Trophies, a museum on wheels, bigger on the inside than the outside. It is full of strange artefacts and it draws even the attention of gods who wish to observe the incredibly rare oddities in the museum. The town watch is renowned, their white lion's head on a sky blue banner hung about the city as a reminder against disobedience. The captain of the guard, Sardia Sanchessa, is known for her indomitable stature, her prosthetic axe arm, but mostly her kind and noble demeanour. Averse to this, it is well documented that the guards are more than happy to accept bribes to overlook certain misconducts. For example, potions and elixirs are completely illegal, along with firearms and poisons, and all magic is restricted to only trusted members of the aristocracy with a special license. Another local celebrity is Bazazar the prophet. He is a grung who claims to be one of the greatest seers in the world, and many travel to him to learn their fortune. Bazazar is relied on to predict the great storms that afflict the city, so that preparations can be made before the storms hit.

Government
The governor, Jorthy Pillsquire, was appointed by Duefimi after the slaughter of the Tempueri noble family at the hands of an organisation of arcanists known as Voltha's Eye. Jorthy holds total control over the goings-on in Stormchild and has cracked down on magic to make sure the same doesn't happen to him. Jorthy signs into law what the guard must enforce, and they are subject to his command. The Captain, Sardia, is known to be loyal to the governor.
Defences
The outer stone wall is pretty well-manned, with signal fires positioned throughout the city in case of attack. The walls are lined with 5 catapults for siege purposes, and there is a defensive Bastion between the wall and the East Orania river to defend the port there. There are 500 members of the guard to defend the city and enforce the law.
Industry & Trade
Stormchild functions as the main port from the Trade Sea through to Ravalon proper and is incredibly important both economically and strategically. It receives much trade and is permitted by Ravalon to take a small tariff from ships coming up and down the Orania. The city itself has very fertile land due to mineral deposits in the ground, so it profits off of large grain exports. On top of that, there are many prominent blacksmiths in the city attracted to the nearby iron and silver mines that provide cheap ore for working.
Infrastructure
Gravity-based plumbing brings sewerage down from the upper area of the city down to the lower areas, allowing the upper areas where the aristocracy live to be incredibly clean while the commoners below suffer the smell.
Guilds and Factions
The League of Gentlemen: Aristocratic club interested in the upkeep of traditional values and the divide between the poor and the wealthy.
The Guard: Protects the interests of the wealthy and the citizens of Stormchild from outsiders, thoroughly vetting anyone entering the city.
Voltha's Eye: Underground society of arcanists dedicated to the liberation of the working class. They are well known for the mass assassination of the noble Tempueri family. They were hunted by high ranking Witch Hunters and are thought to be disbanded, though some say Voltha's Eye are still around and plotting revenge.
