Gold

Those who command the gold hold the fate of the isle.

Gold is a highly malleable metal, meaning it can be easily shaped and formed into various structures without breaking. In addition to its malleability, gold is also notable for its unreactive nature; it does not easily engage in chemical reactions with most substances, which contributes to its lasting lustre and appearance. Under standard conditions, gold remains solid, maintaining its dense and robust properties.

Geology:

Gold is primarily found on the continent of Kicea, with smaller quantities dispersed throughout the rest of Eurgeara. This limited availability has restricted the consumption of gold, resulting in its being highly valued and meticulously protected. Mysteriously, gold is also found in Aurei's bodies, coating a small part of their skeletal makeup.

Usages:

Gold stands out as the sole material known to harness magical energies. Making its uses plentiful, this characteristic renders gold a highly coveted resource among Alchemists, who seek to harness its potent qualities for enchanting objects and people.

Because of its rarity and significance in enchanting, military regiments frequently requisition gold in times of war. Additionally, due to the high price of gold, it's often targeted by criminals leading to thefts and muggings. This Threat is why it requires significant protection.

History:

Throughout Eurgeara’s rich history, gold has played a pivotal role, serving as the spark that ignited numerous conflicts and economic upheavals. This shimmering metal has been the root cause of power struggles and the downfall of empires, its allure often leading leaders and nations into fierce battles and desperate measures.
