Neglected city states and colonies rise up against the Empire

In the drive to retake the cities lost to the Empire, the less prosperous cities in the Empire found themselves drained of resources and support. As the war went on and living conditions degraded the leaders of the city of Druace felt forced to oppose future war efforts. The Empire instantly removed these dissenters from power which resulted in mass protests across Druace and in the colonies on the front lines. Suddenly the Empire faced another rebellion against their rule and another which they would fail to quell.
