Valonia

  The country of Serukis is divided into five lordships, each ruled by a high lord; lords and low lords rule beneath them, in charge of smaller parcels of the region. The Vaifale Lordship, also known as Valonia, is located in the north of the country, and encircles the Bay of Nereus.   Historically one of the smaller regions of Serukis, the Vaifale Lordship has grown in the past few centuries. Through peaceful negotiations, the forested lands north of the Bay of Nereus came under the banner of the High Lord Vaifale around three centuries ago, in exchange for protection against the country of Erias who it appeared was looking to expand their empire again.   Around thirty years ago, High Lord Vaifale granted the island of Bril, located in the mouth of the bay, independence after a prolonged campaign by the islanders.   The region is ruled by the High Lord Vaifale and his family, whose patron Elemental Monarch is Nereus, the Ruler of Water. Their seat of power is Port Haven.
