The Sensha are the human majority of the country of Senairi on the continent of Viretia. They are tenacious people who live in defiance of nature. Senairi is prone to tornadoes, which often carve a path of destruction through Sensha settlements. The Sensha then rebuild. Some build sturdier structures than before, whilst others build taller more elaborate ones. The royal palace, for example, has been rebuilt twice in the past few centuries.
Have they ever sought to control the tornadoes themselves through vast engineering projects and/or magic?
Yes, people definitely have. Though trying to control them through magic would most likely lead to death, since that would drain all their life force.
