The Maguey

  The Maguey are just one of the groups that live on the large island of Esteos, to the southeast of Caia, though one of only two groups of humans. Whilst Esteos generally has a tropical climate, the occasional cold front can bring snow to the northern tip of the island.   The Maguey live along the coast on the western side of Esteos, generally keeping to the edge of the country's large rainforest. They maintain a good trade relationship with the Estic, the shapeshifters that govern the island, with a number of Maguey living full time in the Estic capital city of Kesterhal.   The Maguey own the majority of the country's quince orchards, quince being used in several popular dishes nationwide.
