Located several miles inland from the Barren's coastline, the Imperial Polar Staion is funded by the Royal Arcanum in Kaien. The research base was established in 5300 EA to celebrate the turn of the century, and for almost fifty years has been the site of numerous experiments to do with the frozen wastes.
In 5312 EA, the mummified remains of an allkin was discovered beneath the ice, less than a mile from the base. This was the first tangible proof of the genetic link between the four sapient species.
Current experiments are highly classified.
That line about the experiments being classified is quite intriguing! Makes me wonder what they could be up to....I don't suppose they have some scheme to resurrect the Allkin?
That's probably on their agenda, though I'm not sure their current magic/technology is up to the task. XD
