A Fenu-Tri Guide to Gardening

What is the Guide to Gardening

The Fenu-Tri Guide to Gardening is a digital reference for local colonists. The document is focused on terraforming and preparing Fenu-Tri for habitation. This edition has print tags that tie it to the Tempestasa Valley Terraformation project.

Hey Fran, found this guide in a scout package, might give us a peek into how the Terraformin' Towers down there work.

Take a look when you can, feel free to add comments.

This memo is intended for consumption by all colonists.

Tempestasia Valley is being altered for colonization by a triangular pattern of synchronized ground-level terraformation towers. The valley walls that surround the towers serves as a natural barrier, helping lower our energy footprint and giving us natural protection against enviromental leaking.

Now while these towers will be doing most of the work; it is the responsibility of every colonist to ensure the Towers work is not in vain.

With this in mind, we ask that all citizens make a habit of the following behaviors:

6
  • Outside of planting season, ensure that all allocated plots are fertilized and tilled on a monthly basis.
  • During plant season, exercise proper composting and bring all extra trim to your local tower plants.
  • When planting, check with the Terraformation Authority for the seasonal seed recommendations.
  • Submit quarterly soil samples for analysis and corrective action.
  • Inspect your local plots and report any anomalies to the Terraformation Authority.

It may be a lot on your plate, but this guide will talk you through every step!

Good find, Carmine! Taking a looking now.

Looks like a typical Syndie setup, but instead of a bio-dome they used the valley to do the low-altitude terraformation containment. Smart thinking, less material shipped, though I think they're overestimating the power reduction. Probably no more than 10%, but hey, it sounds good on the colony fluff pieces.

Colonist-Tower synchronization checks out, standard operating procedure in the early stages of terraforming. Prizes are a cute touch though.

This mention of Tower Plants is interesting... at a guess, if they're taking in organic waste, it might be a large compost and bio-fuel facility . Getting that back online would be a priority. I can figure out more once we get planet-side and I can start collecting data and samples.

Still on for coffee later?
