TechCorp

TechCorp is a Dryl based tech conglomerate. Originally named "Varrick Industries", TechCorp was founded by Iknik Varrick in 2016 and has expanded into the second largest technology company on Etheria.

History

Born in the Kingdom of Snows, Varrick started Varrick Industries in 2016 to produce better equipment for ice fishing. The company began producing ice picks, hand augers, and chisels before expanding to produce boats that were designed to cut through ice, known as "koches". In 2019, TechCorp partnered with the Etherian Horde as consultants on the construction of a prison facility within the Horde's garrison. They modeled these prisons after the prisons used in the Fright Zone. When the decision to partner with the Horde caused controversy for the company, Varrick said: "I'm thinking ahead! I'll probably end up there, so I want to make sure it's comfortable." TechCorp maintained their partnership until the Etherian Horde fell in 2021, using their factories to produce materials for Horde weapons. TechCorp, like most companies, went silent during Prime's invasion. When Prime was defeated in November of 2021, TechCorp denounced the actions of the Etherian Horde. The company purchased coastal land in Salineas and began using the area as a marina for expensive yachts which are for sale or rent to the Snowan and Drylian upperclasses. TechCorp sponsored the council's campaign to remove Entrapta from her seat as Princess of Dryl. In 2022, TechCorp announced their new invention: "Movers". These moving pictures will display entire stories for entertainment purposes.
