Plaguebringer
The Plaguebringer, also known as Velle Croataas to the The Darkness and as Stalkers to some groups, are a part of a Classification of Shadow Spawn know as Corruptors. These Corruptor are unique as they are the only type of Shadow spawn created by Arrata, the Queen of Corruption. These shadows possess the ability to inject the same evil that forms the soul of the Darkness into the souls of light based creatures. This power then begins to proliferate inside of the victim, consuming the light and becoming a twisted abomination.
As long as the victim is a mortal creature, or at least a creature that should be mortal, the resulting abomination is weak and fragile. However they have the potential to corrupt Demons, or even Angels if they can subdue them long enough. The resulting Fallen are much more powerful and become a much greater threat. It is for this reason alone that Krop' Tor will only permit "mortals" in his Legion.
This potential has earned the Plaguebringers and all Corruptors for that matter a reputation that far exceeds the actual danger they pose when properly confronted. Even so, if left unchecked they can build up enough annoyances to become a genuine problem. Their Shadow Fallen will typically follow them around. Indirectly serving as a personal army. And there doesn't appear to be a critical mass for the size of the group, demonstrating a potential for a single plaguebringer to corrupt a species. So far there are no reported events of this actually happening.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Plaguebringer is a humanoid Shadow Spawn standing at roughly human size. Its body is skinny and lith, with immensely sharp scythes emerging from its wrists. Like most spawn the Plaguebringer mimics a rigid bone structure with its shape and movement, but it doesnt actually have one. Allowing it to twist amd contort on occasion to suit its needs. It has a seven foot tail that narrows out into a pointed tip. At the end of its tail a long smooth spike emerges that is five inches in length. It has two front toes and a hind claw on its plantagrade feet.
Genetics and Reproduction
Plaguebringers, and Corruptors in general are unique among Shadow Spawn because they have the ability to create new forms of shadows. They are capable of turning living creatures into a type of spawn called a "Shadow Fallen" This works with sapient species and fauna alike. Furthermore if a Corruptor manages to corrupt a Demon, it creates a much stronger fallen known as a "Black Scourge". And in the rare instances that Angels fall to corruptions they become the dreaded "Dark Sentinels". There only recorded instance of Sentinels appearing are in the Fall.
Additional Information
Social Structure
The Plaguebringer is part of the Corruptor Classification. And despite the Corruptors being Shadow Spawn, they run on a seperate Hivemind than regular spawn. If a Shadow Mind attempts to control the Plaguebringer, then the Plaguebringer will immediately turn hostile to the Shadow Mind and anything else it commands. The only exceptions to this rule are the Plague Lords. Of course, the Dark Lords are also capable of commanding the Corruptors, as is their creator Arrata.
Facial characteristics
The Plaguebringer possesses seven glowing red eyes on its head. All of them are front-facing and are arranged in a circle. The creature does not appear to have a jaw or even a nose. Its face splits open at a gap between the eyes and seperates into a large hole in its neck. From this gaping hole are nine tongues that it holds out, primed and ready to lash out. These tongues are each tipped with a four inch serrated blade meant for impaling, and can extend out of its throat for up to nine meters. From the back of its neck are very slim tendrils that mimic some kind of hair. When it is in a hostile environment these tendrils will snap into a jagged position and become rigid. It is suspected that these tendrils sense vibrations in the air as to inform it of its immediate behind. Other possibilities imclude detecting light and visibility due to its horrid eyesight. Nome of this has been proven.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Within the Dark Domain, they are isolated to the Aftermath.
Average Intelligence
The Plaguebringer exhibits a very low intelligence. They display extreme agression to anything audible and within earshot, and a basic sense for self-preservation. However, this is the extent of their intelligent behavior. They do not display social structure or group-thought. Any time these creatures exhibit semi-intelligent manuevers and strategies, a Plaguelord is usually at work.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Plaguebringer,.despite having seven eyes, has extremely poor eyesight. To the point of near blindness. It has excellent hearing to balance this fact. Furthermore, the Plaguebringer is capable of sensing fear, and sensing out power. These extrasensory abilities allow it to isolate targets, and potential dangers.

I quite enjoy the idea of the nine black-bladed tongues that hang from a hole in the neck, it's pretty cool!
You throw around a lot of names and conlong here, I'd suggest using tooltips to explain those that readers aren't likely to know off the bat— or if you plan to write articles on those titles and terms, link them here, and use excerpts on their actual articles (which will act like tooltips whenever you link said article!).
What is a Corruptor? Shadow Spawn? Tooltips can help a lot!
Besides that, I only have some minor grammar/spelling things I will refrain from pointing out unless you'd like me to.
I am interested to read more on these creatures!
Its taken me a long time to get back to the site because of extenuating circumstance, but I have! Thank you for the advice. I tried to implement it as well as I could think. Made an article for the Corruptors since I felt it warranted its own page.
Life happens, welcome back!
