A fractured world held together by the very force it seeks to dismantle and subjugate. The Northern Darkness fears the neutrality infused in it through its violent collision with the forming planet and feels that it must be excised in order to gain full control of its capability to master its current predicament.

The Darkness wishes to devise a means of escape back to the dimension where it held power and position over world and system-level corruptive influence. Utha is its most immediate hindrance.

The Darkness wants nothing to do with Humanity and sees evolution of biological life as infestation of otherwise highly potential time and space meant for higher and darker purposes. The small piece of that Humanity that broke off in its core is from Ophelia's lineage, which is a variant created by its interruption of creation.

Only the elimination of that essence, within it and in the physical realm, can increase The Darkness's chance of success in moving on to darker matters. Utha senses this also, but only on the primal level, as it does most things.
