Church of Falstarr

A temple was built on the centre of the Falstarr's Advent, to commemorate Falstarr entering the world at large in this location. The town of Forstal was the center for worship of Falstarr, who is worshipped through the communion of mushrooms that grow around the edge of the lake. Consumption of the mushrooms allows one to enter a trance-like state, making them more susceptible to communication with the divine. Magic itself is all but worshipped through its study and practice at Ilanorr Academy in the city of Oberm in Ellesmere at the border of the forest.   In the past ten years, the practice and worshipping of Magic have been outlawed and by extension worship of Falstarr. In an attempt to put an end to his worship guards were sent to sink the Temple. His priests and priestesses were ready to die defending it, but such action became unnecessary as the bridges connecting the temple to the mainland came unconnected, sinking the guards into the lake and dragging them to the bottom where they were encased in luminescent crystals. No one has been able to reach the Temple since. Though none who were in the temple remained trapped there no one can be entirely certain how they escaped. Any attempts to reach the temple since have resulted in fatal accidents (the water will boil melting any who were in the water, they will be absorbed into pre-existing crystals or turned into crystals of their own) or a simple inability to enter the water, depending on the intention.   Since that day his worshippers have been forced to continue worship in secret for fear of execution. Those who are suspected or accused of the practice of Magic are executed without trial. They along with any family members who refuse to denounce them and all of their possessions are locked in their homes and burned.
