Kosmar
The Nightmare King typically associates himself with the experience of fear and dread, and with the pain that accompanies such emotions. Reveling in such torment, Kosmar and his followers have devoted themselves to orchestrating events in the world to evoke terror.
Kosmar is one of the Escaped, a small group of Essarian Gods who somehow managed to escape the Divine Prison, finding shelter on the Elfhome Iterum. About a thousand years ago, Kosmar's power on Elfhome became so powerful that he was able to corrupt the Elves into a twisted, nightmarish version of themselves. Only a small number were able to escape the Iterum and come to Essaria. But with the opening of such a portal, Kosmar was also able to slowly extend part of his presence into the Prime Iterum, where he has been subtly influencing and corrupting individuals ever since.
