Halflings
Halflings are a peculiar race native to Essaria. The only reason they are known to be native is due to a single Pliscian record referring to the "short, hair-footed people." Halflings are the second-most populous race in Allethra, after humans, and are integrated into almost every culture on the continent (barring Celestina).
Typically, halflings are mild-mannered folk who live on the outskirts of human dwellings, content to let the "big folk" do what they do without interruption. Most halflings value peace and quiet and a nice meal. Nevertheless, some of the greatest heroes of the world have been adventurous halflings who were not content with their sedentary life.
