Cthessa

  Cthessa is a primordial Essarian God who managed to physically escape the Divine Prison shortly after the Pliscian Winter. Weakened by her bonds, Cthessa returned to her realm beneath the planet's crust under a deep sleep. While she remains unconscious to this day, her dreams reverberate across the world, and she has garnered a number of secret followers.   A master of contradictions and paradoxes, Cthessa is the source of allotropy, a magic that arises due to such contradictions in nature and society. To harness this power, her followers often engage in cult-like behavior, secretly manipulating the world around them to create impossible situations.   After the Awakening, Cthessa remains in a deep slumber beneath Essaria. It's unknown what - if anything - could rouse her. Her followers are more than happy to follow the contradiction of a powerful yet dormant being.
