Volumes of the First Ashen Triad

History:

In the early days of the Ashen Triad, the political group that preceded the Ashen Elders. A great deal of consternation surrounded the political structure that would instill stability among the many ethnicities that would call the Union their home. It was decided that a hierarchy was needed if order was to be maintained.
  • The High Elves Royal Family (Legislate)
  • The High Elves (Advise)
  • Eladrin (Spies)
  • Shadar-kai (Warrior)
  • Wood Elf (Farm, Cultivate, Craftsmen)
  • Sea Elf (Naval & Maritime)
  • Drow Elf (Labor)
Though history has proven that this hierarchy was not meant to last there are those that follow this text to its letter and are deemed Triadist, and are among the strictest interpreters of Elven law.

Excerpt:

Elven tradition is to be an example to other lesser races, for even the lowly Drow are uplifted by her grace and meant to stand tall among humans with their cunning, and gnomes reliance on magic.   It is the order of all things to follow the purpose for which they were created by Ashenvale. Would not a Sea Elf be lost as a warrior, or a Wood Elf befuddled by the burden of leadership?

Hymn:

Verily, my sight doth perceive trees of verdant green, Scarlet roses as well sprout forth to be seen, Their bloom doth grace this land, both for thee and me, Thus doth my heart sing of this world's majesty. And to myself, I ponder in humble adoration, What wond'rous works Ashenvale hath fashioned.

Relevance:

Non-Triadist view this work with varying degrees of contempt commensurate with the station bestowed upon them by the triad. It is now widely regarded as a valuable piece of Elvish history by many but certainly a defunct piece of Old Elvish law.
