  "The Iron Boar is a dish covered in a savory au jus, and slow-roasted for 8 hours with rosemary and elvish dill in a bed or flash roasted greens. Hailed as a revelation in the culinary world, its creator Saijak Ironmane, comes from 5 generations of chefs who have perfected the family recipe. However, since the recipe's inception, Saijak is the first Ironmane to change it. Greeted locally as something akin to blasphemy, Saijack nearly bankrupted the Iron Boar when he changed the recipe, tables sat empty for weeks as dwarves who had grown up on the recipe decided to forgo the restaurant in protest.  

History & Lore

Finally, 3 days before the Boar was scheduled to close its doors, a journalist from the Kobold Press, Telba Melusi wandered into town, having gotten turned around on her way to a small hamlet to interview a beet farmer. Having no idea of the boycott, Telba found herself, as a food critic, ordering the namesake dish. The Iron Boar. Delivered to the table on an iron slab, Telba devoured the meal entirely, no small feat for a kobold. Requesting to see the chef after her meal, she promptly thanked Saijak and headed for the nearest Inn.   The next day, the Kobold press ran a story detailing a dying restaurant with what she described as 'a masterful presentation of local fare and prepared to perfection by one of the artisans of our time.' The day after the story ran, travelers were already booking rooms in town intent on tasting this meal. The dwarves that had shunned Saijak not weeks earlier were now on the outside looking in, with a 6 month wait for the next available tables.
