Sudermider Caves

A now defunct Everore mine, the Sidermider Cave system is home to generations of Deep Gnomes who call Fizzlebreach home.  The caves were originally discovered to have large untapped veins of everore and were quickly mined by the Gnomes who established the city.  However in 684 when the mining operation threatened to compromise the foundation of Fizzlebreach itself the mine was shut down.    For years the old mines sat empty, and in the wake of the mining process, a new species of algae had taken hold in the caves.  Given life by the remnants of arcana left behind from untapped everore, the algae's twin properties of bioluminescence and water resistance gave rise to a novel means of parchment making.   The caves extend as far down as 600 feet and today have been retrofitted with corridors for habitation, recreation, and vocation from any of the 12 remaining mine shafts. Though continued mining is forbidden, the deep gnomes whose ancestors once toiled endlessly in these same mines have transitioned to a new means of securing a place for their progeny in Fizzlebreach.
