Ecology
Named after the famed researcher who died in their discovery in UE 429, the Inari Eels are best known for their superior size, remarkable speed, and ability to discharge 20,000 volts. Most concerning when dealing with the eels is their ability to link multiple attacks when in proximity. Known to surround their prey and discharge in rolling attacks, even whales have succumbed to schools of Inari eels.
Taxonomy
The eels can grow as long as 9 feet and have weighed in at close to 200 lbs. The eels established a natural equilibrium in the bay of Fizzlebreach where they are born and reach adolescence before migrating out to the deep sea. Having dietary needs of 50 lbs of krill and small fish each day, the Inari eels maintain global equilibrium by migrating around the perimeter of Espen's coasts. On average, the journey takes 6 years, with most adult eels circumnavigating Espen three times in their lifespan.
