Great Forge of Alder

History & Lore

Known for casting the most powerful horrific weapons in the world, the Great Forge of Alder the Wise was built atop an active volcano. The Dwarven smiths here begin their training at age 7 and are sequestered until they have perfected the shortsword, spear, and mace. Their diligence and mastery of their trade is known worldwide, and though the time it takes for them to cast a weapon is nearly 4 times as long as most smiths and 4 times the Everore to craft, the weapons are all worth the investment and wait.   Built in UE 316 the Forge was cast from a mix of volcanic rock and everore, giving an untold amount of magical energy.

Management:

Fenrir Thansean, first caster at the Great Forge takes pride in not only the rigorous training program but the high standards that are held here. Fenrir the personal assistant to Thomgrim the Runebreaker head blacksmith also holds the keys to the Legendary Vault of Brex Mathwon the vault was designed by Dwarven and Gnomish designers to withstand any number of attempts at illicit entry. The vault is said to hold a collection of weapons that can only be wielded by the greatest of warriors and possess the power to kill a god. While many believe this to be a ruse, a clever ploy by dwarves to stave off any possible Genasi attempts on the city, there is really no way of knowing, as the vault hasn't been opened in centuries.
