Willsworth Fort
Willsworth Fort is a fortress outside of Wilgot, Guérse serving as a prison. It is named after General Henriq Willsworth, one of the many right han men of Wilgot Guérse during the Guérsean revolution and his tenure as monarch. It is said to be the most secure location in Esekeria, not having more than one break out per century. In 411 A.G.E. the fort was turned into a museum where tourists can get guided tours and see, among other things, how inmates lived, where they ate, where the guards' quarters were, etc.
Purpose / Function
To house and rehabilitate people who have been deemed dangerous to the society around them. (Formerly)
To show contemporary people how incarceration facilities looked and worked a long time ago.
Alterations
In 172 A.G.E. a tower was added to the north of the fortress for additional housing for roomates. The tower was destroyed in 263 A.G.E. and reconstructed ten years later.
In 185 inmates and guards started to make a garden in the courtyard with encouragement from the warden. When the warden died in 199 A.G.E. and a new one was sworned in the garden was destroyed, much to the dismay of those of the guards and inmates who were around when it was constructed.
Architecture
The fortress consits of one main building three stories high with two five-story towers on the west and east sides. The building and towers are made from andesite bricks, redwooden ceiling and a blackstone roof. North of each tower is another tower of the same size and materials. Between the four tower, except for the two southern towers, are three great walls, also of andesite.
Defenses
A garrison of guards, consisting of fighters and warlocks, along with turrets.
History
The fortress was raised in 152 A.G.E. in the forest between Wilgot and Filolona, Guérse in order to house criminals and other people deemed too dangerous to fit in with society.
Tourism
Usually, visitors of the fort are amateur historians or descendants of people who've been incarcerated, but another majority of visitors are tourists wanting to make the most of vacations or business trips while they're there.
